Matt 19:16-26
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
This passage actually is teaching the Truth that Jesus is God ! Notice vs 17 As the young man had addressed Jesus as good, and Jesus responded accordingly, why callest thou me good, for none is good but ONE, that One Being God
Now , notice Jesus did not say, none is good but One and that is my Father, but He said that One, Being God !
Now if Jesus by this is not insinuating that He is God, then the alternative is that He was not good, seeing He just said only ONE, not Two, but ONLY ONE is good.
Now, if Jesus was not good, being that He was not the Only One Good God, then His commanding him, the young ruler, in order to be perfect, that he must go sell all his possessions, then give to the poor, and follow Him; Such an commandment exposed that the young man loved his possessions above God, which was a violation of the very first commandment, now if Jesus was not God, then the young mans refusal to obey and follow Jesus, could not be a proper standard to gauge his Love to God !
For there could not have been nothing amiss about not making such a great sacrifice as that Jesus told him, and then following Him if the One speaking was not the One God, who Only was good !
Jesus is God and Why !

Re: Jesus is God and Why !
Post #211There was no curse, there was a flawed covenant. Under God's everlasting covenant with the Children of Israel, the wages of sin was death. But there was a fault in that original covenant between God and man in that every man who had ever been born had sinned. Thus no one had ever gained an inheritance of everlasting spiritual bodied life under that covenant.
What to do?
The Word created everything originally, so it was His "problem" to resolve.
The solution began with the Word being temporarily made flesh as the Jewish man Jesus Christ. As a Jewish man, Jesus Christ was a party under that original testament, covenant, or will.
Indeed, Jesus became the only human to ever become an heir to everlasting life under that original covenant between God and the Jews.
Timothy put it as follows when he referred to Jesus as the only man with an immortality:
1 Timothy 6:16
Who only hath immortality, . . .
If that covenant was ever probated, Jesus would be the only heir, and His inheritance would be an everlasting spiritual bodied life.
<============================================>
But the Word made flesh did not accomplish this feat for His benefit! Jesus is allowed to give away His just inheritance of everlasting life to those sinful humans who believe in Him as their Savior from the wages of their sins. This was codified in the New Testament as follows:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The purpose of Jesus' human life of pain and sorrow was to gain the guaranteed heirship of everlasting life under the original covenant by remaining without sin. It was a sacrifice only in that the Word did not have to do it at all. But having been made as a man, Jesus' had no choice but to die -- because all mankind is appointed once to die:
Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Since the first death is appointed unto all mankind, then the first death cannot be the wages for our sins. The wages for our sins is the second and everlasting death described in Revelation:
Revelation 20:14-15
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Believers names are written in the Book of Life and will be born again of the Spirit as spirits. Those not written in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire and quickly perish -- never to live again.
I have no doubt about that.
But now you understand how it was accomplished!

Post #212It was accomplished by God the Father incarnating into a flesh body in order to do what only a man was capable of doing - per the Law. The Father had to make a way in the wilderness of a sinful world for His children by putting on corruption in order to overcome this fallen world - blazing a trail for all His True children to follow. Christ was that trail. He is the Way, and the Truth and the Life. John 14:6
That means following His Ways are the spiritual path to Salvation. We must walk, and live, as Jesus the Christ (the Messiah - the prophesied incarnate God) walked and lived. 1 John 2:6
That is why Isaiah prophesied this prophecy ~850 years prior to God's incarnation into the flesh:
"For unto us a child (will be) born, unto us a son (will be) given: ... and His name shall be called ... The Mighty God (the Father), The Everlasting Father (God the Father), The Prince of Peace (Jesus Christ)."
This is also why God Almighty (The Father) said that HE is the ONLY Savior.
"For I am the LORD (Jesus Christ) thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior: ..."
Isaiah 43:3
"I, even I, am the LORD (Jesus Christ); and beside Me there is no (other) Savior."
Isaiah 43:11
In reference to John 1:1, 14, the Father declared that HE is the Creator.
"I am the LORD (Jesus Christ), your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King."
Isaiah 43:15

Post #213Incarnation: a person who embodies in the flesh a deity, spirit, or abstract quality.
The original covenant was between God and Jewish humans.
It was not between God and incarnated Jews.
That would be fradulent.

All outta control because you've completely lost the initiative.
God is a spirit. John 4:24
God incarnated into a physical/material/flesh body. And that fits YOUR personal definition of incarnation. Thanks for that.
The original covenant was between God and humans ... period. NOT JEWS.
Observe carefully:
"Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God: ... Your little ones, your wives, and thy stranger (NOT ISRAEL) that is in thy camp, from the hewer of thy wood unto the drawer of thy water."
Deuteronomy 29:10-11
"Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath; but with him that standeth here with us (the stranger - NOT ISRAEL) this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here (all men who would ever come to know and love the LORD) with us this day: ..."
Deuteronomy 29:14-15
Some older versions of the Bible even say "and also with all men" in verse 15 there.
And nobody said anything about incarnated jews.

The covenants were between God and mankind, not between God and God incarnated into a man.
Only two body types are described in the Bible, natural and spiritual:
There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (I Corinthians 15:44)
And the two body types do not mix:
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. (I Corinthians 15:46)
The natural body comes first and the spiritual body comes last. They are different and are never merged together at anytime in the scriptures! All men are born as natural or physical flesh and blood bodies, and those who believe in Jesus will be born again as spiritual bodies when Jesus returns!
Where does the scriptures state that "God incarnated into a physical/material/flesh body" as Jesus Christ?

Love how you intentionally didn't quote my post that discredited everything you had to say. Oldest trick in the Internet Naysayer handbook.
Thanks for confirming your complete and utter lack of sincerity with your repeated posts disregarding what is being presented to you.

No need to thank me.
I was simply quoting scriptures as inspired to be written by God.
So thank God!
