Re: Is the holy spirit a living being?
Post #75I'm sorry, that doesn't prove what you would like for it to. There are far too many verses that contradict your proposed position.
Luke 24:27
John 14:21-23
Romans 8:9-11
2 Peter 1:21
... and many more.
Many false doctrines are built upon a single verse of Scripture that is contradicted many places throughout.
All sound doctrine coincides with the Bible in its entirety.
Jesus Christ IS the Holy Spirit and that FACT is supported throughout the Bible.

Good! You believe God is living, and you believe God is Spirit. Me too!
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God (Genesis 1:2). Do you believe the Spirit of God is dead?

Re: Is the holy spirit a living being?
This - the bold - is correct (even if not quite complete):
Christ is the Spirit. Christ is the HOLY One of God. Ergo: Christ is the Holy Spirit.
That being said, 'holy spirit' is often referring to the breath/blood/seed of JAH. That is the holy spirit that Christ breathed upon His apostles (John 20:22). Christ did not breath Himself onto the apostles (nor did He breathe any other person onto the apostles). Unless holy spirit is referring to Christ (for the most part that I know of), then it is referring to the breath/blood/seed of JAH. <- This is what Christ anoints His people with, it is what He baptizes us with; and makes us SONS with, and it is also the WATER that He invites us to come to Him and drink (for FREE). This is what God breathed into Adam (obviously, it is the breath of God.)
The problem in what is written is that the scribes always personified holy spirit as if it was a third person in the trinity, because that is what was already believed. And that has created confusion.
Peace again to you all,
your servant and a slave of Christ,
tammy
