Paradise on Earth

Post by onewithhim »

When I learned that the Bible speaks of a restored Garden of Eden and the restoration of mankind to the perfection and endless life that Adam forfeited, I was thrilled. Who doesn't want to keep living on this beautiful earth, with our loved ones, and being able to do all the things we love to do---endlessly?

If God said to you today, "When do you want to die?" would you say "now!!"? I don't think very many people would say that.

We CAN live forever here on Earth. The Bible tells us that we can.

Matthew 5:5
Psalm 37:9-11,29

Believing involves more than just a shallow agreement. One must follow what Christ has said as well. If we truly believe we will listen to His words and apply them in our lives. After all, James wrote: "Just as the body without breath is dead, so also faith without works is dead." (James 2:26)
You are arguing against yourself. You first quoted John 3:15-16 saying "whoever believes may in Him have eternal life", inferring that you simply had to "believe" to escape death, which is not in line with the original saying that even though one dies, they will live (John 11:25), which is quite different from escaping death. As for if one believes Yeshua, as to gaining life, one must keep the commandments (Matthew 19:16-17), and if one wants to "follow Me (Yeshua)" and be "perfect", one must sell all he has and give it to the poor and then follow me (Matthew 19:21).
I don't see at all how I contradicted myself.
As JWs are followers of the false prophet Paul, and believe in the false gospel of grace, which includes "lawlessness" per (Matthew 13:41),those who nail the law to the cross, which will end, at the "end of the age", with "those who commit lawlessness" being "gathered" and thrown into the "furnace of fire". You seem to call up down and down up, and good evil, and evil good. (Isaiah 5:20)

Gospel: the Christian message concerning Christ, the kingdom of God, and salvation.

If Paul's gospel of grace in the New Testament is false, then what is the true gospel message according to 2ndpillar2?

Thanks.
The "message of the son of man", which is the "kingdom" per Matthew 13:11-13, which is presented in "parables", which are not understood by the "wicked", such as those who "commit lawlessness", such as the false gospel of grace/cross (Matthew 13:41 & Isaiah 6:9 & Daniel 12:10).
There are many kingdoms.
There are only many kingdoms NOW, on this earth, that soon God will destroy and set up his own Kingdom over the earth. (Daniel 2:44) There is only one Kingdom of God.
It is not a teaching of the JWs.
You said "there are many kingdoms", which in fact is a teaching of the Mormons.
No, I didn't say that. There are many kingdoms NOW on this earth, but they will be destroyed by God and his Son and God will set up his own Kingdom to rule over the earth (Daniel 2:44).
Apparently, it was a different JW, myth-one who said that. According to Daniel 2:45, the kingdoms of Daniel 2:44 involved the kingdoms of gold (Babylon), the kingdom of silver (Persia), the kingdom of bronze (Greeks), the clay (which would be the Muslims), and the iron (Rome), whereas the "stone" which is to crush them (Isaiah 28:16) has little to do with the JW church, which has accepted the "deception" stemming from the "covenant with death" (Isaiah 28:18), the false gospel of grace, which "shall be cancelled".
Myth-one is not a JW. Anyway, the immense image of Daniel chapter 2 shows what will also happen in the end times. The image contains the kingdoms that were involved somehow in mistreating the Israelites, and we can follow these kingdoms as they collapse, down to our day with the Anglo-American power in power at this time. (An off-shoot of Rome.) We are living in the time of the feet of clay and iron. No other kingdoms will appear after this final kingdom is vanquished by God's own Kingdom. We are at the end. God's Kingdom with Christ as King is near.

Daniel 2:35 relates that the "iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed all at the same time"..."but the stone...filled the whole earth". All of the kingdoms of Daniel 2:44-45 will be crushed all at the same time, which is to say Rome (Czar of Russia (Putin)), Persia (Iran), Greeks, the Muslims (Esau's clay pot of red (Edom) lentils), and Babylon (Iraq). Israel (Judah) will be helped by the nation which is divided by the rivers (the U.S) (Isaiah 18:7). The U.S. has been supporting the state of Israel since its' inception. Iraq has been crushed, Russia in the form of Putin, is soon to be crushed, Greece was crushed by their debt collapse, but still have problems with the Muslim Turkey, the Muslim's in the form of the Ottomans were previously crushed with the Germans at the end of the 1st world war, and the Germans are apparently going to be eliminated by their incoming horde of Islamist immigrants and failing energy resource management. Perisa (Iran) and the Muslims will soon be eliminated by Israel (Judah) when they attach Jerusalem (Zechariah 14). While the "son of man" may be near (at the door) per Matthew 24:33, he will not come until "immediately after the tribulation" (Matthew 24:29). We are living in the era of the "8th head" of the beast who "was" and "is not" at the time of the writing of Revelation 17:11, which was Julius Caesar, the emperor (dictator) of Rome, who is today represented by the Czars of Russia, including Putin, and the Kaisers of Germany, which would include Hiter's 3rd Reich (Holy Roman Empire). The JWs simply represent a small part of the daughters of Babylon, who carry the mark of the beast with two horns like a lamb, as they keep his decree of 321 A.D. And your "Anglo" is not considered a world power, and have only recently paid back their war debt to the U.S. One general stated that the UK has about one day of ammunition if a war broke out, and it will be partially an internal war, as the mayor of London is a Muslim. Fortunately, the U.S. just got rid of their Muslim president, and now have a empty shell left wing socialist president, who is not supported by the "irredeemable" populace that support the nation in real terms.

Isaiah 18:1-7 "Alas oh land of whirring wings (aircraft).... At that time a gift of homage will be brought to the LORD of hosts From a people tall and smooth, Even from a people feared far and wide (the U.S.), A powerful and oppressive nation, Whose land the rivers (Mississippi river system) divide— To the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, even Mount Zion."

The following is the bottom line.

Even though Adam and Eve sinned and brought death to their children, Jehovah did not change his mind regarding his purpose. He has said: "My word that goes out of my mouth will be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly accomplish whatever is my delight, and it will have sure success in what I send it to do." (Isaiah 55:11)

What was Jehovah's original intent, concerning the earth and mankind? "God blessed [A&E] , and God said to them: 'Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it....Jehovah God took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to take care of it." (Genesis 1:28; Genesis 2:15) Clearly, God wanted the earth to be filled with people that he could have a loving relationship with, and who would take care of the planet, making the whole thing a garden of awesome beauty, like we see parks and gardens today.

His purpose is still that faithful humans should live forever here on this planet. He has promised that he will resurrect the dead and make everlasting life available to them. (Acts 24:15; Titus 1:1,2) Jesus repeatedly spoke of this promise, and he himself was resurrected by his Father. (Matt.19:29; Matt.22:31,32; Luke 18:30; John 11:25) So Jehovah's original purpose for mankind and the earth will continue on, in spite of Adam's rebellion.

Jesus taught his followers to pray for God's Kingdom to come here on Earth, and for God's will to take place on Earth. This will happen, whether or not people want it to happen. (Matthew 6:9,10)

As with respect to your Matthew 19:29, it is with regard to what he told Peter when Peter wanted to know his prize, and the answer was that those who left houses, and family for "My name's sake", they would get much more and "eternal life", and that the "first" shall be "last", and Peter was the "first" chosen. Have you sold all you have and "follow Me" (Matthew 19:16), or have you kept "the commandments" (Matthew 19:17). And God's kingdom was laid out by the prophets, such as in Ezekiel 37:15-28, whereas the house of Ephraim and the house of Judah would be combined and ruled by David on the land given to Jacob, and become the "tabernacle" of God, and with respect to Isaiah own their own plot of land to grow their own food. You kind of leave out the "day of the LORD" when the "nations"/Gentiles will be brought into the "valley of judgment" (Joel 3:2).

Have you missed the part of Jesus' teaching and that of his disciples that spiritual Israel has taken the place of physical Israel (since physical Israel rejected Jesus)? Everything now is to be looked upon as involving spiritual Israel. Jesus said to the Pharisees:

"The Kingdom of God will be taken from you and be given to a nation producing its fruits." (Matthew 21:43) "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent to her---how often I wanted to gather your children together the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings! But you did not want it. Look! Your house in abandoned to you." (Matthew 23:37,38)

Peter said to Christians in Asia:

"You are 'a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession....For you were once not a people, but now you are God's people......'" (I Peter 2:9,10)

Peter said to Christians in Asia:

"You are 'a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession....For you were once not a people, but now you are God's people......'" (I Peter 2:9,10)
1 Peter 2:9-10 is quoting from Deut 10:15 & Isaiah 61:6 with respect to the sons of Israel being a "chosen race" who are "priest" of the LORD, and not the Gentiles. According to Galatians 2, Paul called Peter one entrusted with the "circumcised"/Jews. 1 Peter 1:2 refers to his listeners as "aliens", as in Jews, "scattered" among the listed nations/Gentiles. It was Nero who supposedly killed both Peter and Paul, and according to the historical record, it was because of the strife caused by the differing messages, whereas Peter taught the Jews of Rome, and Paul taught the Gentiles. As for Matthew 21:43, the "sons of Israel" per Hosea 3, were to be left while Hosea bought an "adulteress", the Gentile church, for the equivalent price of 30 shekels of silver, for "many days", until the "sons of Israel" "return". Matthew 23:37-38 is with respect to all of Matthew 23, which included Matthew 23:25, which is directed at the Pharisees and scribes, "you hypocrites", who persecuted God's messengers, as in the case of Paul orchestrating the death of Stephen and persecution of other righteous throughout the Roman provinces, and whose followers will be held responsible for all the blood of the saints (Matthew 23:35). You might want to read the entirety of your sources.

Peter aligned the NEW chosen race of God---spiritual Israel---with the quotes in Deuteronomy and Isaiah. Israel rejected Jesus and as a result it was rejected by God as His holy nation. I guess you didn't see the quotes from Jesus that I posted. Natural Israel was to be abandoned by God and His Son. Peter applied those words from Deut. and Isaiah to spiritual Israel; he was writing to Christians.

1 Peter 2:9-10 is quoting from Deut 10:15 & Isaiah 61:6 with respect to the sons of Israel being a "chosen race" who are "priest" of the LORD, and not the Gentiles.
Natural Israel was never to be abandoned per Jeremiah 31:36. As far as Peter, he was the "worthless shepherd" of Zechariah 11:16-17, who would deny Christ (Matthew 26:31-34) (Zechariah 13:7) when the sheep would be "scattered", and he would not feed, care, or tend the sheep, but would "leave the flock" (Judah/Jerusalem) (Zechariah 11:17). There was to be an "adulteress", the Gentile church, paid for with the equivalence of 30 shekels of silver, to be held "many days", until Israel returns (Hosea 3). After "many" days, that adulteress was free to return to her original owner, which would be the prince of Greece (Daniel 10:20).

Over and over again Jehovah told natural Israel that He would abandon them if they stopped listening to Him and didn't follow His commands. Just one example of this is Deuteronomy 30:17-20. Israel failed miserably in keeping up their end of the covenant. Jesus himself said they were abandoned. Did you catch that?
