WHAT IS THIS?
There is more in this Revelation account of the bottomless pit. There are thrones, angels, books , judgements, etc.
This is a vision that literally places John at the top of the pile of most deserving.
How was this ever sold literally. I know where they stole 'the gist' of this from.
HOW CAN THIS BE?

18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death

1. The NT 'rewriters' ,of the Jesus Narrative, and their later 'revisionists' ,are on a clear and visible trajectory.
2. They have jumped on board the feel good brilliance of the Jesus Man's Narrative and made a new religion.
3. It is too simple to state that this was more a case of maliciousness than incapacitated error, prompted by circumstance.

Jesus Christ is the Son of Man born from the dead.
He is the first begotten from these dead men(people)
'The dead' are the Jews,(the new Gentiles)
They die when the die so that they are already dead.

We are selling , 'immortality'

This Christian pyromanic obsession has again erupted to the surface on this forum.
This could have been, a good news story with a happy ending. There was mythical precedent for this religion to use the off-ramp of a happily ever after end of days ,finale!

The false prophet of Revelations is going to stew for ever and ever, Amen! This Christianity has always been hypersensitive to heresy,even to this day. It was dealt with as treason would be in a kingdom, a mixture of dungeon, banishment and the rack,(Ouch!)???
So, no happy ending, no hope or love, just fear trepidation and stealth, and a lifetime of defensive,mental manouverings, and all in the name of vengeance!
What a pity!
