All of history is exclusively detailed in the Bible, anything not mentioned in the Bible never happened.
For subject of debate:
Should text books only have words of scripture in them to teach children? Or should people be aloud to expound on the words of scripture to help teach kids more broadly?
Note the verse Proverbs 30:6
"Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar."

I'm thinking you ain't the guy.
Public schools should be for things like education. For subject of debate:

Churches are what you're thinking of.
Your challenge now is to put you some truth to that claim.Note the verse Proverbs 30:6
"Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar."
The liar lies and the preacher preaches.

Post #3Church is indeed what he is thinking of, or rather church -based education. We all know what the game - plan is: indoctrinate the kids as soon as possible and keep the one -sided propaganda as all they ever hear forever after.JoeyKnothead wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 7:10 amOnly those who know all of history can confirm the non/truth of that statement.Shem Yoshi wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 5:11 pm All of history is exclusively detailed in the Bible, anything not mentioned in the Bible never happened.

Even here in the land of Limes, hockey - hoydens and unsightly teeth, Religion knows that control of education first and the media next is essential to gain social power and authority (no long ago an Islamic attempt to take over a school was exposed) so God knows what it's like in the US.

Post #4It's been a strategy for a spell over here. From reducing education funding to slicing it off for charter schools, and now the final phase...TRANSPONDER wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 7:30 am Church is indeed what he is thinking of, or rather church -based education. Catholic charter school seeks public funds.
It's not enough to be tax free, they want taxpayer dollars to spread their particular brand of religion.

Post #5And no wonder. By just about every measure Catholicism is in a nose dive and collection plates are coming back pretty barren.JoeyKnothead wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 8:08 amIt's been a strategy for a spell over here. To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

Re: Exclusive history of the Bible
Post #7I recall back when Gove (the sort of fellow who would give a propaganda about YE Creationism in the senate) was minister of education, the push for church funded schools was an alarming initiative of his. Two birds with one stone - propagandize religion and the government didn't have to find the money for it.
