The Salvation of Jesus Christ

Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

1. In this commandment,
what is Jesus commanding, the children of God, to obey in their everyday life?
How do you understand these words of the Word of Life?

2. How do you disobey this commandment in your everyday life?

3. How do you obey this commandment, in your everyday life?

4. What happens to you when you disobey this commandment, in your everyday life?

5. What happens to you when you obey this commandment, in your everyday life?

6. What is the purpose or the objective of this commandment, in your everyday life,
given to the children of God to always obey, by Jesus the Christ?

John 6:27
Labour not for the meat which perisheth,
but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life,
which the Son of man shall give unto you:
for him hath God the Father sealed.

This scripture is best read in context.

"So never be anxious and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or, ‘What are we to drink?’ or, ‘What are we to wear?’ For all these are the things the nations are eagerly pursuing. Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “Keep on, then, seeking first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you. So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles." Matt 6:31-34

The commandment was not to be anxious about tomorrow, but to keep on seeking to serve God's kingdom and all the things you need to live will be added to you. Since a kingdom seeker will be care fore in this why there is no need to be stressed about what one will have tomorrow. Ask for what you need for today and worry about what you need for tomorrow, tomorrow. This reinforces what Jesus said at Matthew 6:11, "Give us today our bread for this day." Thus if a person is seeking God's kingdom they will have the basics for life.

What happens to you, when you allow yourself, to give thoughts,
to anything other than the present point in time? Do you know?

If so what is it?

The scripture is talking about if one is seeking God's kingdom there is no reason for being anxious about getting food, clothing and shelter. It is not a blanket statement that one can't think about anything else other than today.

I do it all the time and nothing has happened to me. I think I'll have pancakes tomorrow for breakfast.

Nice opinion. I do not share it. I do not take the Bible and use its scriptures like lego pieces taking a block of scripture and then try to attach it to another and make a doctrine out of it. If that is your dogma so be it, but I do not agree with your interpretation.
