Give them all A Cups!

Post by Purple Knight »

Question for Debate: When they give a trans woman D cups, as part of medically necessary, insurance-covered transgender care, are they saying that having something smaller might interfere with a woman's identity as a woman and therefore a woman needs a D cup, to really feel like a woman?

If not then give them all A cups!

...When it's covered by insurance of course. When it's under the umbrella of necessary mental health care or they'll die. When they pay they can have whatever they want.

Just let the patient decide, why would anyone else get a say just because insurance is paying for it?

Because it's cosmetic. If you need breasts to feel like a woman, we'll accept that is true, but you don't need D-cups. D-cups are not medically necessary to feel like a woman, otherwise insurance should cover them for flat biological females too.

Then your argument is really that insurance shouldn't cover cosmetic surgery, not just cosmetic surgery for trans people, right?

Then let's just agree that it should. Easy-peasy.

Not at all, my argument is that cosmetic surgery shouldn't be covered for some and not for others. There's a problem however in covering it for everyone and that's that there's not enough money in the world to make everyone top-tier beautiful. Even if they did seriously try, it would just mean the bar would move.

It seems like there are some trans women, but definitely not all of them and if I had to guess a very small minority, who aren't actually trans and are just opportunistic. They have noticed that trans women are always hot, and life is much easier as a very hot woman than as an average or even above-average man. We don't need to be pressuring the horrible, already leaky and bloated insurance system to pay for these people to have an easy life and $50 tips at Hooters. If it's just about having breasts they can be A-cups.
