Do You Know How to Be Saved?

Ask Jesus to forgive you and save you from your sins. That's it. Unlike Christianity, other religions, philosophies, self-help systems and other rubbish within the trash heap of human history, Jesus says: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

It is unwise to view reading the Bible as a religious requirement and worse, to view Jesus as a religion. It is even more unwise to confuse Jesus with Christianity. It is very wise however, to read the Bible and, to read a chapter in the New Testament every morning. Jesus says, if we remain in his word, we will know the truth and the truth will make us free; and if he makes us free, we will be "free indeed" John 8:31-36.

Romans 10:12-13 "For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon him. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

No one can deserve God's free salvation. All we can do is ask.

John 10:9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

26. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

John 5:39-40. "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."

Matt 19:21. Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Matt 11:28-29.Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Thus saith the Lord Jesus Christ:

Remember, eternal life and your salvation are in My hands. If you want to be saved, come and draw near to Me. If you want eternal life, come and call upon Me. Trust in Me, because if you don't, you will have no salvation and no eternal life. You will have nowhere to

All those verses are true, @OneJack, because Jesus is fully God. However, your "Jesus" fails to take other passages into consideration that describe the true Jesus' role as the Father's divine Agent through whom the Father creates, saves, and sanctifies people and who comes in the flesh to reveal the Father to us:

Joh 1:3  All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 

Joh 1:12  But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 
Joh 1:13  who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 

Joh 1:18  No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known. 

Heb 1:1  Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 
Heb 1:2  but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 
Heb 1:3  He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Those who believe in Jesus as their Savior become heirs unto everlasting life under terms of the New Testament Covenant.

They will receive their inheritance of everlasting life when the New Testament Covenant is settled after the Second Coming.

At that time they will be born again of the Spirit (God) as everlasting spiritual bodied beings.

And that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Thus they are saved from ever dying again as a consequence of becoming immortal spirits.

When Jesus returns, we will receive a new spiritual body, unlike our current physical body.

Who said salvation is free when the absolute call of the Lord Jesus for all to be saved is 'COME FOLLOW ME?' Coming to and following the Lord Jesus until the end is the only way leading to our salvation; the Lord Jesus is the one who executes the parameters of salvation, which no one is privy to.
