OK, let's make this a game. And a rewarding one too. The person who gets the most people to join (legitimate people to join, no fake accounts or you'll be disqualified) will get 500 bonus tokens. Second place will get 250 tokens. The contest will start now and end on Feb 29. To get credit for someone joining, they'll have to go to your own special url. So, for example, mine is:

To see what yours is, go to one of your own posts, click on the profile button (not the one at the top of the page) at the bottom of your post next to the PM, Email, WWW, etc buttons. Also, someone can click on the refer button next to it and you'll get credit.

Here are the winners of the referral contest:

RaveMaster - 2 (Spirits of Patriots, Xlord)
Corvus - 2 (Wertz,Abs like J)
Wertz - 1 (Christopher)

Since there is a tie for first place, I'll be giving them both 500 tokens.

Ravemaster had 130 tokens, now is at 630.
Corvus had 413, now is at 913.
Wertz had 30, now is at 280

The problem is that the referral mod is incompatible with the Profile Control Panel mod. So, referral tracking doesn't work anymore.

Perhaps we can do some sort of manual referral contest. How about this idea? I'll start up another thread to track referrals. If you refer someone to join, both of you post a message to that thread stating you two referred each other. When both of you have posted a message and each say who the other is, the referrer will get 100 tokens. There will also be no limit to the number of tokens one can receive. However, all members must be real members. No cheating. If anyone cheats, I'll penalize with a hefty token penalty.

OK, so what do you think?
