My name is Graeme, I'm 16, English and l am a LaVeyen Satanist.
I thought I would join up because I enjoy debating all subjects in general, and religion is one of the subjects I enjoy.
Despite having a strong christian family, I was always encouraged to find the religion I wanted to follow once I had matured enough to pick one, I was never baptised or anything. I'm grateful for this.
I set out as an atheist and looked around to see if there were/are any religions that suited what I believed in. I discovered LaVeyen Satanism at school when I moaned at my teacher for always doing Christianity and not teaching us about other subjects. I decided to delve into it more and found it amazingly similar to my thoughts and views on the world and my attitude towards others.
Alot of people usually comment about satanism, so IF you do not know the full meanings behind satanism, look up the differences between Anton Szandor LaVey's satanism and Theistic Satanism before commenting. Considering it is Debating Christianity & Religion, I'd expect you to comment lol
Hopefully I am welcome here, and I look forward to some interesting debates with the best of you.

Only those banned are not welcome here. Since you don't fall into that category, I would say welcome. I admit to knowing nothing about satanism at all, so I will have to research it. Until then, I look forward to your participation.

Re: Hello
Post #5I believe there is no God/Devil other than myself being the "god of my own universe" as Anton LaVey said. Which basicly means being in control of my own fate and not allowing others to control it. With no offence to others intended, but I see the idea of heaven/hell, an all powering god and a devil as ridiculous, nearly as ridiculous as telling people to wait for the excellent afterlife. I think people should focus more on their current life, not a life that, in all honesty, nobody has any idea if it exists or not, people cling onto the hope of it, or in my opinion, false hope.Zzyzx wrote:Welcome to the forum Graeme.Graeme wrote:My name is Graeme, I'm 16, English and l am a LaVeyen Satanist.
