I remember hearing this somewhere and i cant recall where or even if it was true or just a conjecture. I was hoping maybe one of you might now.
I had heard that at the beginning of Christianity when they had no church and basically did word of mouth teachings in peoples houses, that they were construed by the populace of that time as cannibals because of their "eating" the body of christ and "drinking" his blood. Which would add a whole different meaning to there persecutions at that time if it was true. But it does make sense to me. Just dont know how true it is or how i could go about finding out if it is.
