In another thread a point was brought up that I'll rephrase here with some goofy...
I consider it moral to never wear shoes. Don't I declare all others who wear shoes to be immoral?
(I'm not trying to strawman or deliberately misquote the other poster, but to rephrase it so he's not potentially held responsible for my claim here.)
If I'm moral, are you immoral?

Post #2I think that it all depends on how you came about such a consideration.joeyknuccione wrote:I consider it moral to never wear shoes. Don't I declare all others who wear shoes to be immoral?
If you believe that it would be wrong for you to wear shoes because doing so would violate your own appreciation of the sacredness of feet, then it is a kind of private thing, that would not necessarily apply to others, who either do not understand plantar sanctity or perhaps do not see that being shod in any way desecrates it.
If, on the other hand, derived your shoeless ethics from a belief that there are some kind of malevolent consequences in store for those who remain stubbornly shod, then, of course, your principled stand implies that those who do not share your view are either unscrupulous or ignorant.
Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

PLANTAR SANCTITY !!! All y'all with shoes are the devil.
Actually, I do get a lot of ribbing about hardly ever wearing shoes, even in the rain or cold. Love to feel the ground beneath me. Also, when taking psychedelics it is a known remedy for some with bad trips - a little tip from your uncle Joe.
I'll take McCulloch's response.
How do I mark the thread solved?

Post #4If you're asking whether or not a positive moral position on X requires one to view the opposite of X to be immoral, the answer is, No.joeyknuccione wrote: I consider it moral to never wear shoes. Don't I declare all others who wear shoes to be immoral?
