What does Ignore do?

Post by ThatGirlAgain »

I do not have anyone on Ignore and I was not planning to do so either. Just curious.

On another bbcode site I once put someone on ignore for experimental purposes. If I recall rightly, it just prevents notification emails for posts by that person. (And blocks PMs?) All posts are still visible in every other way.

I have notify emails turned off anyway so it is academic. Like I said, just curious.

PS phpSpell did not know what 'bbcode' was. Interesting... O:)

PPS It did not know what phpspell (lower case S) was either.
Dogmatism and skepticism are both, in a sense, absolute philosophies; one is certain of knowing, the other of not knowing. What philosophy should dissipate is certainty, whether of knowledge or ignorance.

If you place someone on ignore, then you won't see their posts and they can't PM you.

Thank you. Not that I intend to ever do it. Just curious.

As far as the PM portion goes, that has not been my experience.

In a past incarnation I put someone one on ignore and it turned out to be an excellent way to receive MPG donations from him.
Which includes a PM?

Eventually I got tired of having to un-ignore him so I could thank him for his donations.

Where did Zxxyz go?
Hope all is well!

Hmm, the MPG donation would be a loophole to bypass the ignore. But, you do get tokens along with it...

Should I disable MPG donations from people placed on ignore?

He told me he would be on a hiatus. But, he didn't tell me for how long.

Good news, I was worried that something might have happened to him.
