Not a bad idea! I might suggest, and I know this would take work but, embedding the text of the linked notes to prevent multiple back and forth between threads. Someone might link four posts and then people would have to go back and forth reloading the same pages and bogging your server. Not to mention I doubt many people would click most "evidence" links anyway if it's not right before their eyes.
