Submitted for your consideration:
I believe the 666 connotation represents three things that are aptly described by Revelations:
Money is easily described as it.
Media and communications (wearable cell phones anyone?) can also be something inferred from Revelation's description of the Mark.
and some third 6.
Six is a number of the the beast in actuality. Just as the five-pointed star represents magic from the sacrifice of man, 1=head, 2,3=arms 4,5 legs, so the six pointed star represent the magic from sacrifice of beasts: as above 1-5, and a sixth point from the tail of animals.
Are there any expansions on these assertions being further correct or incorrect? and from this, is it possible to discover the representation of the final "6?"
Could this also thus mean, a third sacrifice?

Post #61There have been many "Antichrists" down thru history that have worked against the kingdom of God. But, there is only 1 entity that specifically fulfills all the prophesied characteristics of the Antichrist. In Daniel chapters 7 and 8 and in Revelation chapter 13, you will find at least 10 identifying traits of the Antichrist. All 10 marks can be fulfilled in one entity,,,the Papacy. If people would look carefully, they'd see that the Beast has the number and that Antichrist is not mentioned in Revelation. However, Antichrist can be compared to "Babylon the Great," the world empire of false religion, which is not an individual but is a compilation of all the world's religions. 666 is the number of a man. The Pope.
Title of the Pope = Vicar of the Son of God. Latin translation = Vicarius filii dei. Using the Roman Numeric System,,,,Vicarius Filii Dei = 666
Satan will use Sorcery and everybody except the the "elect" will be deceived. All who have rejected the Bible truth that the dead know nothing, will be deceived. It is thru the false teaching that the dead are alive that Satan shall deceive nearly everybody. Dead loved ones shall appear and tell the living that Sunday is now the Sabbath and that man should reject the Biblical claims that God's Sabbath is the 7th day and instead observe Sunday the 1st day of the week. America will undergo a counterfiet revival accompanied with miracles of healing. The Devil shall deceive the nations and bring them into a world-wide coalition and the Papacy will lead them. World conditions will become so intolerable that a "back to God & Prayer" movement that insists we all unite and worship on Sunday will seem to be the only solution. A new Law enforcing the observance of Sunday the 1st day of the week will be the law of the land. Only those who observe Sunday, the 1st day of the week, will be allowed to buy and sell. Those who cling to the 4th Commandment and it's claims, will not be allowed to buy nor sell, instead they shall be persecuted. First with civil penalties, and finally the death decree will go out to all who refuse to honor and observe Sunday the 1st day of the week. Satan will finally have a law to rid the earth of God's Commandment-keeping people. As God's Commandment-keeping People are about to be killed,, Jesus will appear and save His people!

Post #62Very good, Mr.Beebe. Except that Satan is deceiving people even NOW. We don't have to wait for this to happen. He is doing an excellent job of it during the very days we're living in (and have been living in). Satan has gotten billions of people ALREADY to believe in the immortality and consciousness of dead people, and they are slamming their doors in the faces of people who are trying to tell them the truth, even now. Dead loved ones will not come back to life until Christ's Millennial Reign. Which day we observe the Sabbath will make no difference, as it doesn't even now.Mr. Bebee wrote:There have been many "Antichrists" down thru history that have worked against the kingdom of God. The first to go, very soon, is Babylon the Great, the world-wide system of false religion, INCLUDING the Pope and his minions. The nations don't need any law about Sunday to eliminate religions. Governments close down churches and Kingdom Halls even now. Some day the Beast will shut down every religion on Earth. We believe this Beast is the U.N., and it will be interesting to see how it does that. Indeed, when the Beast turns on Christ's true disciples, He will come as described in Revelation, chapter 19, verses 11-21.

I have studied your doctrine extensively. Jw's are Bible rejectors. You believe it took thousands of years for God to create the earth and all that is in it.
You reject much of Revelation,,, All scriptures that pertain to the Holy City Jerusalem,, you reject.
You also have a condescending view of who Jesus is. You believe Jesus is a creation and nothing more.
Further,, you reject the 10 Commandments. You people claim claim they are void.
While you claim the law of God is void,, you people go out and marry each other.
If the law is void,, why would you get married and place yourself under the very law you claim is void?
If the Law is void,, what do you have to repent from? If the law is Void,, what do you need saved from.
You can sit here and run interference all you want. I have to;ld you what the Mark of the Beast is. It is Sunday observance enforced!
And your church observes Sunday,,, the Mark of the Beast. My advice,, read Revelation 18:4 and heed it's advice.

Post #65We don't reject any of the Bible. The Bible doesn't say that the earth and everything in it was created in six twentyfour-hour days. Explain Genesis 2:4 if you must cling to that nonsense. We certainly don't reject any of Revelation! It has been a matter of intense study at least 4 times by the congregation. We just know that the New Jerusalem will FIGURATIVELY "come down" to the Earth, in that Christ and his co-rulers will be focusing on the Earth in a special way. (After all, the New Jerusalem is not a literal city but consists of the Bride of Christ!) It is ludicrous to think that a literal city will come down to the earth from heaven. God and Christ will remain in heaven and conduct matters on the earth from there, just as it has always been done.Mr. Bebee wrote: [Replying to post 62 by onewithhim]

You haven't been paying attention. We do NOT consider Jesus a creation "and nothing more"! He is the second-highest person in the universe, next to his Father and God (John 20:17; Rev.3:12), Jehovah. He is the special, unique, Son of God, who is now ruling in Heaven. He will soon rule the world. (Isaiah 9: 6,7; Luke 1: 32,33)
We do not "reject" the 10 commandments! Jesus himself said that he had FULFILLED the Law (Matt.5:17) and Paul said Jesus had in effect nailed the Law to the 'cross.' (Colossians 2:14) So we are not UNDER the Law any more. However, the PRINCIPLES of the Law are to be appreciated. The 10 Commandments and the rest of the Law help us to understand how Jehovah views things. Finally, Jesus said, when one of the religious leaders asked him which was the greatest commandment in the Law: "'You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart...soul...and mind.' This is the greatest and first commandment. The second, like it, is this, 'You must love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets." (Matthew 22: 37-40)
I don't understand your point about "marrying each other." It doesn't sound like you, whom I thought was pretty sharp. Does someone else post for you on occasion? Your reasoning is usually quite sensible. Anyway, we don't reject the Law, we just know that we aren't under it anymore because it was "a tutor leading to Christ," (Galatians 3: 24,25) and when Christ sacrificed himself the "tutor" was no longer necessary, as you can see if you actually read the verses I have cited. But, as I said, the PRINCIPLES of the Law still apply.

"It is ludicrous to think that a literal city will come down to earth from heaven."
So, for the record,, JWs reject all scriptures that pertain or give measurements of the Holy City. You and your fellow JWs reject the all scriptures from Revelation 21-------22:5 Your club rejects all of Chapter 21, not to mention all the scriptures about Jesus making a large plain where the city shall sit Zek 14:5,, all lies,,,right? Pftttt
My Bible says God will live with us,, while your false teaching says this:
"God and Christ will remain in heaven and conduct matters of the earth from there, just as it has always been done."
Revelation 21:3 says God will live with us: "Behold the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God."
So, clearly your scripture rejection has led you to teach lies.
I could do this all day long with your false doctrine. But, i know, you have drank in the lies and you cannot be reached.
So,, I will pray for you instead.
I could tear up everything that you said in your post just as I did with the subject of the Holy City Jerusalem. You are drunk on lies. One after another. And it's sad.

Post #67Or optionally, you two could agree that either or both could be correct based on the following scripture:Addressing Onewithhim, Mr. Bebee wrote:My Bible says God will live with us,, while your false teaching says this:

As long as believers are on the earth, the "Tabernacle of God is with men and He will dwell with them" is a true statement.1 Corinthians 3:16 wrote:Know ye not that ye (believers) are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Re: Mark of the beast
Post #68The scripture 1 Corithians 3:16 is speaking about the Holy Spirit residing in our bodies,,, not about God Himself dwelling with us in the New Earth. So, clearly you have done some out of context Bible study to come to the conclusion that 1 Corithians 3:16 is the same as Revelation 21:3.. And it is clear as day that the Jws reject Revelation 21:3.... In fact,, they reject the whole chapter. Revelation 22:3 even tells us that the Throne of God will be there in the City:myth-one.com wrote:Or optionally, you two could agree that either or both could be correct based on the following scripture:Addressing Onewithhim, Mr. Bebee wrote:My Bible says God will live with us,, while your false teaching says this:

"but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it" (Holy City Jerusalem that comes down from heaven).
But,, all ,may see the former posts and see that the Jws reject the many Bible verses. And instead offer up this false contradiction:
"God and Christ shall remain in heaven and conduct matters of the earth from there, just as it has always been done."
Does that teaching contradict the Bible? Yes, it most certainly does!
Jehovah's Witnesses have rejected much of the Bible. Another scripture they reject is Exodus 20:11:
"For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them.." Exodus 20:11
They reject that teaching. Even though God's Bible says "He spoke and it was done, He commanded and it stood fast." Psalm 33:9
They would have us all believe, that what God did, took a lot longer than 6 days..And that Jesus is a mere creation. Everything they teach is a condescending view that belittles God's Creative power and reduces Jesus to a created being and casts doubt on the Bible as the Truth. Even though the Bible tells us this:
"..the entirety of Your Word is truth.." Psalm 119:160
God gave us the 7-day weekly cycle. It has never been broken. There is no reason to believe that the days of creation were any longer then, than they are now.
So, it is my opinion that the doctrine of Jw's is not in tune with the Bible. I believe the Bible. All of it.

I have just quoted part of your words, but the question has to do with your claim that the beast that comes out of the sea is the papacy.
How can the beast that comes out of the sea - which has seven heads and ten horns - be the papacy, when at the time John received this revelation, five of those heads had fallen, one was, and the other had not yet come?Tell me,,the Bible says "all the world wondered after the beast". Revelation 13:3. Is Pope Francis making friends all over the world. Tell me,,does the Bible says Satan will come as an "angel of light" or as the liar and murderer that he really is?
The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come. "This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while.
The beast that comes up out of the sea is much much larger than just one religion and its leadership.
Peace again to you,
your servant and a slave of Christ,
tammy
There have been several empires that have persecuted God's People.
The following are the 5 that Revelation 17:10 is speaking of:
Egypt
Assyria
Babylon
Medo-Persia
Greece
This is assuming, as most people assume that I have seen, that the heads on the beast that comes out of the sea represent political governments/authorities.
People are not looking at the RELIGIONS that go hand in hand with those political governments.
The beast that comes out of the sea is religion. It has seven heads: seven mountains which are seven religions.
Christ describes mountains as places of worship.
"Woman," Jesus replied, "believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.
Mount Zion is also God's holy mountain. (there are numerous references to this)
In Revelation,
They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!"
They are calling to THEIR mountains and rocks - those they have put their faith in.
Those seven religions are religions that have been used by the Adversary to persecute those who belong to Christ and to God.
Five of those had fallen (including the one with the fatal wound that had been healed) at the time John received his revelation.
Another in Christ received from Christ that this fatal wound was delivered when Israel (divided) fell; the ten tribe kingdom to the assyrians and then the two tribe kingdom to the babylonians. But the fatal wound was healed when Judah was permitted to return and rebuild the temple.
(Jeremiah 15:18; 30:12-17)
That religion ended up persecuting those who belonged to God as well, by means of persecuting Christ and those who belong to Him.
What became the RCC (the sixth head - the one that 'was') also persecuted those who belong to Christ (which you seem to have some understanding about as well).
The seventh head is also a religion, one that lasts only a short time (it is not Islam). It is another religion in "Christendom", although it does hold itself apart from the rest. My Lord has told me which religion this is (it is also the beast that comes out of the earth), but I am not sure I can yet share here what I received from Him on this matter.
The whole world (except for those whose names are written in the book of Life) worships the beast that comes out of the sea. The whole world does not worship political governments. But religion?
May those who wish them be able to get a sense of these things, and may any who wish ears to hear, be granted them, that you may hear as the Spirit and the Bride say to you, "Come! Take the free gift of the water of Life!"
(which water is holy spirit)
Peace to you Bebee, and to your household, and to you all,
your servant and a slave of Christ,

The people desire to hide from Jesus,, and they call on the mountains and the rocks to hide them from His face and His wrath!
Revelation 6:15, 16 is what is going to happen,,,, They are going to seek to hide "in caves and in the rocks of the mountains." Rev 6:15
Are you another one on this site that claims to be a Christian and rejects the Bible? There seems to be a lot of people who reject the Bible yet claim Jesus.......sigh.
