Q: Jesus Christ is reputed to be the first-fruits from the dead (1Cor 15:20).
How is that true when so many other people were resurrected before him?

A: Christ is the first to return from death with immortality.

â— Acts 13:34 . . He raised him from the dead never to return to corruption

â— Rom 6:9 . .We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more;
death no longer has power over him.

â— Rev 1:18 . . I am the one who lives. Once I was dead, but now I am alive
forever and ever

Q: But isn't everyone alive forever and ever; even people in hell?

A: When the Bible speaks of Christ's resurrection, it's always relative to his
dead body rather than his existence.

It was essential that Christ's crucified remains be returned to life or his prediction in the passage below would been easily proven false.

â— John 2:19-21 . . Jesus answered them: Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days. The Jews replied: It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days? But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
