TBN is promoting something called the "Jesus Bible", to highlight the supposed presence of Jesus from "Genesis to Revelation".
And a page or a chapter heading was entitled: Jesus our glorious creator.
If Jesus does it all, Creator, Redeemer, (and presumably Sanctifier?), what role left for the Father and the Holy Spirit?
for debate:
Is such "Jesus is everything" thinking the inevitable consequence of Jesus-worship?
Is this kind of complete and total Jesus worship a form of idolatry?
Why not just total, absolute Jesus-worship Monotheism?

My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Post #3Absolutely. That's why mainstream Christianity is based on the idea of the "Trinity". Jesus and God are one in the same.Elijah John wrote: for debate:

How would idolizing Jesus be any different from idolizing YHVH or Jehovah, or Yahweh, or whatever Christians call "God".Elijah John wrote: Is this kind of complete and total Jesus worship a form of idolatry?
Christianity is basically idol worship no matter how you cut it.
If worshiping Jesus is idolatry, then worshiping YHVH is also idolatry.

Re: Why not just total, absolute Jesus-worship Monotheism?
Post #4It seems, in effect more and more that Christians are not content with the co- equality of the Trinity. They have relegated the Father to the shadows, paying him lip-service only, or painting Him as "He who must be appeased". Most Trintiarians nowadays pretty much focus entirely on Jesus in the fore.Divine Insight wrote:Absolutely. That's why mainstream Christianity is based on the idea of the "Trinity". As I asked before, if Jesus is our "Glorious Creator" what role remains for the Father?
