Just curious, may I ask how the process works?
Does someone "report" a perceived infraction to the operating mod?
If so, what kind of checks does this forum have against prejudices and what not? After all, some infractions are blatant; some (as in any legal system) require interpretation.
Again, just curious.

Re: Moderation Warnings
Post #2.
Infractions which are not too blatant and unacceptable may receive Moderator Comment (and the action is noted in Moderator Forum). If Comments are not sufficient to bring about change, a Warning may be issued. Further infractions may result in a Final Warning -- after which any further infractions trigger a vote of the entire Admin / Moderator Team to evoke Probation, Suspension, and then Banishment.
Bias has NOT been a problem (except perhaps in the minds of those who incur Comments, Warnings, Probation, Suspension, or Banishment). Perhaps that is similar to incarcerated people thinking 'the system is against me' -- rather than taking responsibility to act within the rules of society (or the Forum in this case).
Any Forum member who, after receiving a Comment, Warning, etc, is free to contact any Moderator or Administrator by PM only to 'plead their case'.
No member is above the rules or immune to infraction actions. No member is entitled to expect the Forum to bend to their preferences.
Members can report infractions using the exclamation point button atop each post. When a report has been made it appears on the dashboard of Moderators and Administrators (eight people) when they log in. Any one of the eight can take action.liamconnor wrote: Does someone "report" a perceived infraction to the operating mod?

The Admin / Moderating Team is equally balanced between Theists and Non-Theists. All actions taken by any team member are posted in Moderator Forum. If another team member disagrees with the action, discussion and resolution follow.liamconnor wrote: If so, what kind of checks does this forum have against prejudices and what not?

The most blatant and obnoxious infractions can result in an instant banliamconnor wrote: After all, some infractions are blatant; some (as in any legal system) require interpretation.
