The Exodus Syndrome

In politics, religion and even science, "finding" or manufacturing evidence to support one's viewpoint, and rationalizing it as the ultimate righteousness of one's cause, is an example of The Exodus Syndrome (TES). To use the Exodus as an example, "finding" Egyptian chariots, weapons and skeletons at the bottom of the Red Sea, that aren't there, is justified by the "undeniable truth" that the Bible is God's revealed word. This is also known as the MSU (making *stuff* up) and Ad Hoc logical fallacies, but TES brings to mind a more immediately intuitive name for the issue than the colloquial MSU, or the technical Latin, translation needed, terminology.

There are of course myriad examples of TES (e.g. finding the Ark, Climategate, some of George Washington's religious letters), so please feel free to offer other such instances you can think of which fit the mold, or ones you're using yourself which others might fault you for employing TES. I of course, being an advocate for the pursuit of Truth, am perfectly sin free in this regard. O:)

It must make Dr. Patton cry then, to research the Seleucid Empire. Yes, I know you've never heard of it; it was a Phonetician Empire, in this case Canaan, and they ruled Palestine from 312 to 63 BC. These were the people the Hebrew allegedly murdered and raped to take over Palestine: You guessed it, another epic historic event from the Bible that never happened.

Except the transition was at the direction of the Roman Empire. No Hebrews harmed any Canaan.

Oh, well, see because then you'd also have to explain the extermination of the people Jews claimed were their forefathers by Merneptah, and a decimation of them.

Jews did not even exist before about 163BC.
Now bit of the Bible DID exist: The Bible OT as you know it was kludged together from other cultures' stories: Set and Osiris, the Flood, Sumerian creation story and the Greek creation story (whoops!), and so on.

Tel El-daba had an Asiatic (Hebrew) population of slaves who left in mass near the end of the Thirteenth Dynasty. There were even mass graves evidencing rapid burial after the death of the firstborn. Don Patton has shown that there is physical evidence for the Israelites in Canaan at the time of Joshua and then the judges. This is documented at:

My book documents that Mt. Sinai was Mt. Bedr not the Mt. Sinai on the Sinai peninsula. Perhaps archaeologists have looked for the fire pits and other physical evidence in the wrong location. There is also proof that the conquest happened near the end of the MB IIB Period.
They can not have looked in the wrong place, where the legend true there would be at least one fire pit in every 220 square meters of of the Sinai.

Oh, Oracle of Truth, the Eminent Judge of all matters Earth, what about this set-up for proving the soul?

Set-up:

"Let's take the example of the soul and let's "imagine" a way to prove it.

We have two sizeable pools for two people to voluntary drown themselves in, forcing the souls, 2, to separate from the 2 bodies.

Let's "imagine" further that the 2 souls are so friendly and gentle to one another that they are able to follow one another in the forms of 2 souls, human-sized, I guess.

Then some "diverse" interaction between these 2 souls. Then, from this "out-of-body" state the 2 souls decide to retrieve their bodies by "flying" to these 2 bodies lying there lifeless in the 2 pools and "retake up" their respective bodies.

Then, we at the outside of the situation, the friends to these 2 bodies with souls in them, these 2 people, may note they begin to wake in the pools and help them out of the pools.

Later, these 2 people go through (f)MRI scans to confirm the new mental content that also light up "reality" mark in these 2 heads/brains.

I suggest, by the above, that we "now" (by our current imagination here at the forum, DC&R) have proven the existence of soul/souls, interacting and more.

Proof by inter-subjective/objective facts in 2 people and by clinical death state in these 2 people while "soul-walking". Also, the new (f)MRI scans support our findings."

Hopeful! :study: :D O:)
I'm cool! :) - Stronger Religion every day! Also by "mathematical Religion", the eternal forms, God closing the door on corrupt humanity, possibly!
