I agree completely and you make an important observation that I had not completely considered.
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Thank you, well put, it makes me anticipate the answer...
I will never understand how someone who claims to know the ultimate truth, of God, believes they deserve respect, when they cannot distinguish it from a fairy-tale.

You know, science and logic are hard: Religion and fairy tales might be more your speed.

To continue to argue for the Hebrew invention of God is actually an insult to the very concept of a God. - Divine Insight

Try reading the OP.

A trainer requires sexual favors because of his/her status to a student, it is unethical.
How much worse when God does it?

"I'm eating a pizza right now as I type this. It would be quite frightening indeed if there was a possibility of the animals used to make the pepperoni just reversing the damage done to their cells and coming back to life."

I can see it now. Riku takes a bite and puts the slice down to reply to the latest nonsense on DC&R. A couple minutes later he absently reaches back to grab the slice and feels a snout instead. There, standing on Riku's plate, is an angry looking pig covered in pizza sauce. OMG! The site 'historian' was right all along! Things can come back to life after days of death! After carefully backing away, Riku runs to his other computer, creates a new ID for DC&R and begins afresh with a first post on how evolution has to be wrong because we can't validate abiogenesis in the lab. He LOLs, SMHs, and considers his next post on how everyone should believe in the resurrection because someone long ago wrote a single sentence that it actually occurred, so it must be true!

That's the first time I've seen that argument used constructively.
Brilliant!

Well said.

If theists can explain God's existence and how God got here, then they have their explanation for how human life can get here without the need for a creator.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.
