Clearly, this royal engagement is deplorable.
How could any US citizen think it acceptable for an American to marry an unemployed, Anglo-German-Greek mongrel?
Best wishes, 2RM.

Post #11To address that question:Tcg wrote: For some unknown reason you failed to address this question:
"If this was nothing but a joke, as you claimed it to be, why are you continuing to have a serious discussion about what you previously claimed was nothing but a joke?"
Can you explain why you ignored it?
You "Tcg" called it as a joke, he did not say it was a joke.
He said it was intended as humor, and it was poor tasting humor, so humor is not the same as a joke.
It is easy to see that the OP was intended as humor, and sarcasm is never a healthy way to communicate.
It was my own comment number 3 which gave the humor a non-funny reply.
Of everything that I like about Britain, and I really do like Britain, but the British humor is near the bottom of the barrel.
That entire Country would benefit if it were given lessons in better comedy, IMO.

C'mon guys, lighten up! And tell us all a joke about the happy couple that doesn't start: 'So, Harry and Meghan go into a bar...'
If you can, you might persuade that not all American jokes start that way, just so that Americans will be able to tell they are meant to be funny...
Best wishes, 2RM.

Whenever a poster attempts "humor" that is indistinguishable from outright racism, it is all but impossible to determine if the "humor" is indeed "humor" or simply an expression of the poster's bigotry. Your claim that this thread was created simply as an attempt at "humor" leaves those who have read it wondering whether or not that is just a copout for the racism expressed in the post. Your claim that it was an attempt at "humor" doesn't answer the question as to whether or not it is a reflection of racism.
If it is, it isn't funny. If it isn't, it isn't funny.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder and humour too. But I wasn't confused I thought the OP was just trying to be provocative and facetious. If it fell flat for some people then it fell flat. As for the racism I'm not seeing it. But then I did call the royal family reptilian. If this is seen as racism I apologise to all reptilians.

Er, how is discussing William's baldness the same discussion, much less a "serious" one?
