I agree completely and you make an important observation that I had not completely considered.

My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

"The first law of thermodynamics came into play hundreds of years before a finite universe was discovered (or even postulated). So you can't logically say "matter cannot be created or destroyed" when there was a point in the finite past at which the universe (physical reality) came into being."
I am very pleased to see you understand some very advanced science!
If I may venture, thermodynamics is essentially the science of inanimate matter with energy - billiard balls and atoms... moving around.
Thermo actually does not exist without matter, and matter is necessary for them. But you really can't have one without the other.
Respectfully yours,

I will never understand how someone who claims to know the ultimate truth, of God, believes they deserve respect, when they cannot distinguish it from a fairy-tale.
You know, science and logic are hard: Religion and fairy tales might be more your speed.
To continue to argue for the Hebrew invention of God is actually an insult to the very concept of a God. - Divine Insight

"The historical method can only tell us what probably or most likely happened in the past. Since miracles are, by definition, improbable, if not in fact impossible, they are methodologically outside the bounds of historical inquiry.
History, then, as a disciple, cannot tell us if Jesus was divine or worked miracles any more than it can for Alexander the Great or Caesar Augustus[...]Any supernatural claim about Jesus can only be accepted as a matter of faith. Again, this is the domain of theology rather than history."

This really is kind of brilliant.
Obviously we can't perceive anything of grand scope completely, why should we place the same constraints on a undefinable creature.
Wow.

Now here we must disagree!
God died shortly after Joan of Arc, in the late 1400's!
He was defeated by Death and Satan, whose power and subtly he vainly ignored.
Even he didn't see it coming.
