Divine Dictation

Post by postroad »

Would the following text confirm the concept of divine dictation.

Luke 24:44-45 New International Version (NIV)

44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.

45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

Then he is asking more if his followers than he gave.

Luke 6:29-31 New International Version (NIV)

29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
We're not talking about enemies here. Only the Biblical principle of welcoming the stranger. It still applies, even if we as a nation have to apply limits.
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

Super! As I have often said when believers bring up objective morality only existing through God.
Even the obligations within the body of Christ are subjective to the secular state. Christians will pick up arms and kill each other on the authority of the state how much easier to deny fellow believers a better life.

It is not always within our power to give those seeking it a "better life". And at what cost? The caravans are already overwhelming our ability to process them. Do they all have jobs lined up? Are any of them criminals? Are all in good health and not contagious? Are any of them gang members or terrorists? Are any of them human trafficers? Should any illegal immigrant cut ahead of legal applicants for immigration?

Are you denying the practical reality of limitations? Our judicial and health systems are already being overwhelmed with asylum seekers. And most of those folks do not even qualify for asylum.

This is your thread. Do you really want to turn it into a debate on immigrantion? It started as "Divine Dictation".
