'Last Days' bible prophesy's

There is an ever increasing awareness of scientific data pointing to the conclusion that humanity is causing the planet to warm up due to the manner in which we have been and still are living and consuming resources on the planet.

While there is still a lot of debate about whether or not it is actually happening, and to what extent the damage will be if it is indeed happening, I am wondering if those who claim it is not happening are doing so because it is against their Christian beliefs as to how the world will end, and thus - Christians being the greater percentage of the western worlds population, this denial is why there is not far more effort placed in doing something about the problem.

Q: Does the bible mention anything to do with the planets climate heating up as part of its last days prophesies?

Q: If not, then is the likeliest reason for many people - largely the Christian population - not believing in the climate change that many scientists are warning us about, the result of that?

Indeed there will be wars and rumors of war as well, that's what's happening.
That is what has always been happening and Christianity has been involved in both, since the time of its invention/insertion into this world.
As it was in Noah's days we have a faithless generation too .
Faith is playing its part in WHY things are not changing because so many Christians have brought into the idea that they are powerless to help and contribute to make changes to improve things and put their faith in Jesus returning to do it for them, and that is the reward they have been led to believe that they deserve. That is essentially what they believe they are saved for.
I'm afraid we could be at the event horizon for the end of western civilization.
Many scientists are referring to this as the unavoidable consequence of humans not changing the way they have been going about things. Christians are not exempt from being a part of the cause of the catastrophic, even that they have been convinced by con artists that they are not part of the problem because they have been faithful to the belief the con artists have convinced them of.
All we need is an anti Christ figure to show up and seal the deal.
I consider that to be a weakness in the whole story. See this thread for more detail on that;

Talking About Aliens ... About Jesus Returning...

Essentially there is no need for an "anti Christ figure" to be made public as the mass elimination of life on the planet can happen without this, while those in 'First Class' positions are either in the process of making or have already made preparations to avoid most of the affects and don't wish to advertise the fact anyway - preferring to remain largely under the radar... and as long as the masses continue to behave predictably by putting their faith in saviors/shopping, rather than cease to continue to believe in the con, and become pro-active in seeking viable alternatives.
But Of course there is still time to change our ways. Like the Ninevehvens did in Jonah's day to a hopeful one where we change our course of history avoiding disaster.
How does one convince someone who has all their faith in Jesus returning to fix the problem they are lead to believe isn't of their making but is caused by 'the faithless', to abandon that faith and place their efforts in implementing change?

Hope alone will not suffice. Positive practical working alternatives are necessary.

See more on that in the thread.
