How to praise a member's post:

- Next to the user's post that you like, click on "MPG Donation".
- Enter how many tokens you'd like to donate and enter a comment on that particular post. It'll then send a PM to that user and also automatically post in this thread the message you entered.
- MPG donations may not be used for anything other than to praise a post or to acknowledge agreement. It cannot be used to denigrate, debate, or question a post.

Humor that drives home a serious point is always enjoyable and valuable!
To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

"I suppose we are not allowed to simply state your paradoxes are resolved with no God at all?"

Exactly.

One can almost hear a sad funeral dirge played for Christianity in tune with this post.
Let it rest in peace.
I will never understand how someone who claims to know the ultimate truth, of God, believes they deserve respect, when they cannot distinguish it from a fairy-tale.

You know, science and logic are hard: Religion and fairy tales might be more your speed.

To continue to argue for the Hebrew invention of God is actually an insult to the very concept of a God. - Divine Insight

I know these tokens don't mean anything. Still, I only give them to comments that I think are clear and cut to a fundamental issue.

Yours often do.

Great answer. No longer any need for further discussion.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.
