There is no secular or theological challenge to be made that a "Christian marriage" isn't immutably a man and woman/husband and wife. Therefore, it should be a criminal act under current hate crimes laws, to accuse a Christian of hate, bigotry, or irrational . . ., if they assert the immutability of the structure of marriage as man and woman/husband and wife.
As Jesus proclaimed it in the Gospels and the writings reaffirm and define it so.
Why would anyone, religious or secularist, NOT support and affirm Christians adhering to the consistent and immutable Biblical teaching that a marriage is a man/husband and woman/wife?
Christian marriage is man and woman/husband and wife.

My position is that where God is wrong, I ain'ta gonna follow.
I don't wish to use the term "hate" in order to inflame passions, but to try to have a reasonable and rational discussion here. If it pleases, I'd replace the OP's use of "hate" with my use of "well I ain't a bit proud y'all feel that way, not a bit".

I personally consider the Bible, overall, as condemning homosexual marriage by way of condemning homosexuals.99percentatheism wrote: No one has ever proven and/or shown any scriptural proof for anything about or supportive of gay theology that supports marriage as same gender.

I disagree. Where the Bible declares the actions of humans "abominable", but there they are, they ain't hurting nobody, then I find that at least a smidgen hateful. Following that then, I propose the Christian who objects to homosexual marriage simply, "'Cause God says so", well that's another smidgen of hate. How many smidgens makes a whole of "hate"? My studies in this regard are inconclusive, 'cept to note that eventually, owing to compound interest, a multiplicity of smidgensful of hate'll end up equalling a whole of it.99percentatheism wrote: The OP is proven as fact and truth.

As long as 99percent so adamantly believes the comment made by Jesus about marriage he should be out harassing those who divorce because THAT is what Jesus was referencing. The huge amount of Christians that DO divorce (and remarry) should keep 99percent very busy indeed! But wait ...he completely ignores its intent but instead uses that scripture to target homosexuality and gay marriage!
There is no reference to either homosexuality or, indeed, any taboo of gay marriage because Jesus was not asked a question pertaining to that issue. 99percent (and one or two others) are being deceitful by misapplying that scripture to something that they personally disagree with. Perhaps Jesus may or may not have agreed with them if He'd been asked. But, He wasn't asked so we will never know.
Incidentally, since you're back on the board, 99percent, I'll again ask the following question: What are the human 'benefits' of straight marriage that are not also applicable to gay marriage? And, please don't say "children".

Did Jesus harrass adulterers and the remarried? Or did He preach repentance from sins? You can keep barking up your theological tree all you want, but demanding that two wrongs are still wrongs is the only fruit you can shake loose.KCKID

Why do you attack me personally? Why not debate the issues? I have never ignored your obsession for not wanting to forgive sinners. We have interected on this subject probably a hundred times. I am a Christian. I believe in Jesus and His teachings on repentance and forgiveness. Any person repenting of homosexuality is forgiven. Truth is truth. You cannot alter Christian truth for the gay agenda.
Go read the parables of the wheat and the chaff and the planted weeds (tares). Your theology says that the chaff and the weeds (tares) are good things because they are with the wheat.
FOR THIS REASONThere is no reference to either homosexuality or, indeed, any taboo of gay marriage because Jesus was not asked a question pertaining to that issue.
What "reason"??? Marriage.
And are your seriously positing that Hebrew-Jewish Rabbi's arguing with Jesus would even entertain gay sex and those that engage in it to be debated? That behavior is settled theologically.
Like adultery, as you know, it is settled theology. If "marriage equality" was such an important topic, why wasn't it presnted to Jesus? In historical fact, homosexuality was an abomination to the Israelites. Just the idea that pagan sexual behaviors would be demaned a place within Judaism is ridiculous to assert.
That is a lie. I challenge you to show one place where I personally diasagree with what secularists and pagans choose to do to each other sexually?99percent (and one or two others) are being deceitful by misapplying that scripture to something that they personally disagree with.
Present evidence or apologize and retract you fasle accusation.
Perhaps Jesus may or may not have agreed with them if He'd been asked. But, He wasn't asked so we will never know.
He was never asked if Ishmael was actually the son Abraham wa asked to sacrifice and not Isaac. Muslims number in the billion now. Why didn't Jesus entertain so many people's theology when He had the chance?
Your logic is misplaced to extreme. Jesus wasn't asked about heroine use either.
Incidentally, since you're back on the board, 99percent, I'll again ask the following question: What are the human 'benefits' of straight marriage that are not also applicable to gay marriage? And, please don't say "children".
Children. You don't tell me what points I can present in a thread. But also, and also important, society should be able to put limits on behaviors, and gay marriage demands that chaos ensues for western civlization. Everyone doing as they wilteth. That's Wiccan morality and theology. And of course secular ethics as well. There can be no more boundaries for any behaviors going forward with this madness. Whatever is agreed upon by "consenting adults" and the ever sought after decreasing age-limits for sexual behavior, is going to be "the spirit of this age."
Now, do I care about that? Not really. I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and the incredibly sensible history presented in the Bible. Is mankind slotted to become debauched? A resounding YUP says history. Should I carry the dust from reprobates into my home and Church and my walk through my day? Nope says Jesus.
There is nothing you can do you to rewrite the New Testament honestly. You can develope your own gay denomination if you wilteth. You can encourage homosexuality to anyone and everyone you wish. But you will fail with those of us that live our lives as Christians that reject secularism becoming theological power and authority over us.
You are bearing false witness against me. And you do this over and over again with seemingly total approval of the authorities of this website. You can do whatever you want sexually ans you can convince as many people as you can to join you in that quest. You just can't redefine Christian truth to do so. Is that me "speaking for all Christians?" No. It is me agreeing with the Christians that do in the New Testament. Where marriage, is immutably man and woman/husband and wife. There is no such thing as same gender marriage anywhere in the New Testament. It would be wonderfuil to see that truth validated even by the adversaries of Christians here. And far more important for those that call themselves "Christian" that are now attacking their supossed brothers and sisters in Christ, that are completely supported by the Gospels, Acts and letters of the New Testament that same sex marriage is wrong based on accuracy and not hate.
Christian marriage is man and woman/husband and wife. That is a fact that neither you or any other adversary of that truth can do anything about. Harping about the violation of that immutable configuaration by pointing fingers at sinners that violate that immutable truth, only points to desperation on your part and that you are demanding that two wrongs can make a right. Even kindergarten children know that is wrong, BUT they have to have honest teachers teaching them that.

This thread is about "Christian marriage." Possibly the marriage is not about children. OK. Certainly no fail there at all. Let alone the laughable charge of "epic." But cliche-comebacks are fun to watch being tread out by people like you. But anyone that thinks it's a buddy-pal relationship, or one that does not denote a proper sexual relationship may as well do as you have done and just ignore reality. and go to the cliche handbook for reply.
Now, if you would, please show where and how anyone can find marriage as anything BUT man and woman/husband and wife IN the New Testament?
You can even use cliche if you'd like.
But I'm thinking my interstate trip today will come and go before you find anything. No, no, I am actually asserting that.

In fact, you need to present anything that would disprove it.
In fact, you even know that the reference I supplied answers your challenge. You mocked it accordingly. Now, go through the New Testament and find the husband and wife defintions as same gender. EVER.

As Jesus said to His adversaries:
From Paul, whose theology is marriage as man and woman/husband and wife:When Jesus had finished saying these things, he left Galilee and went into the region of Judea to the other side of the Jordan. Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?
Havent you read, he replied, that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
New Testament . . . etc., etc., etc., etc..1 Corinthians 7
New International Version (NIV)
Concerning Married Life
7 Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman. 2 But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. In the same way, the husband does not have authority over his own body but yields it to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 I say this as a concession, not as a command. 7 I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.
12 To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. 13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.
15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. 16 How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
Now, 10CC, Pookie face, Cupie Doll,
Step up and show us all some New Testament (Christian) scriptures that supports gay marriage? You know, answe the OP.
