In the aftermath of petitions from all 50 states to secede being posted on the White House website and signed by over a million Americans, the secessionist movement has been portrayed as anti-American, unpatriotic and even treasonous. In reality, as Ron Paul has emphasized, it is as American as apple pie and George Washington.
Paul updated his thoughts on secession during an appearance on C-Span today, noting how “The founders believed in it, there’s no prohibition in the Constitution against secession, adding that the union was voluntary and therefore secession was also voluntary under the tenth amendment.
“They want to put them on a list that they’re committing treason, put them in prison or throw them out of the country – what about the First Amendment, asked Paul in response to calls by some on the left to have pro-secessionists deported.
“The principle of secession is very important, not so much for the purpose of seceding, but the purpose of saying to the federal government ‘if you mistreat us that’s what we might consider’, said Paul, noting that New England talked about secession in the early 19th century and was not condemned for doing so.

So, we got a bunch of spoiled brats who didn't get their way and are throwing a temper tantrum.
I suggest we just ignore them.
“What do you think science is? There is nothing magical about science. It is simply a systematic way for carefully and thoroughly observing nature and using consistent logic to evaluate results. So which part of that exactly do you disagree with? Do you disagree with being thorough? Using careful observation? Being systematic? Or using consistent logic?

It was noted that every of the petitions had almost identical wording, which indicates they came from one group of malcontents.
I suggest if they are so adament about it, they buy a south sea island and move.
After all, there was a war fought on that very subject , way back in 1860, and guess what?? The ones wanting to leave lost.

On the other hand, He lost, and 'secession' is actually anti-constitutionalists. As for 'God Fearing'?? Well, I don't see any virtue about 'Fearing God'...although it is a psychological phenomena the conservatives react stronger to negative stimuli.

Oh I see. .. that's something like 'True Christianity' , or 'True blah blah blah'.
Let me put it this way. We have "True America'. The majority of the people voted , through the democratic process, to elect Barack Obama. That's the 'True America'. To change things, it is the True American way to go through your elected officials. .not complain, pick up your cards and go away.

There would be far less shrill bickering the rest of the world would have to listen to if the U.S.A became the S.A
