Where does Kim Jong Un fit in?

Post by Elijah John »

Where does Kim Jong Un fit in with Biblical, "end times" prophecy?

Is he mentioned?

If not, why didn't Daniel, and John the Revelator etc. anticipate such a threat to the safety of the world?

Why not, if the Bible is infallible, inerrant and prescient?
My theological positions:

-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.

I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

I'm not a biblical inerrantist, but this pretty much covers it:

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

And maybe Kim Jong Un isn't as important as some portray him as being?

Peace to you,
your servant and a slave of Christ,

Sounds pretty general, don't you think? Those things have been occurring for thousands of years at least.

Yes, but is every person who ever threatens other nations supposed to get a specific mention in prophecy? Or are they just more of the same?

My finding is that N. Korea is attached to the prophesy here:

Link = United States & Britain in Bible Prophesy.

The USA started the hostility with NK and we refused to make peace and we the USA first introduced nuclear weapons into Korea as we broke the armistice, so now we the USA are reaping what we sowed.

And if this be true, as I believe it is true, then Kim Jong Um is really doing a service for God.

Are you serious? If not, your joke is in very bad taste.

How can you support a false God (Kim) over your own native country? There's a name for that....both of those things actually.

I certainly am not joking - and it would be insane (lacking sanity) for any person to register onto an internet forum and then post joking comments because that would be an insane thing to do - IMO.

What I said is just factual history about the USA along with interesting prophesy from the Bible.

You asked a direct question and I gave you a direct answer to the question.

We really do need to put the truth over politics, and the truth over propaganda, and put the truth over prejudice.

Chairman Kim Jong-un of North Korea is in fact following the high moral tactics of non violent civil disobedience against their violent enemy of the USA, and they are following the principle of "turning the other cheek" by inviting the USA to strike them again.

This is the same principled followed by Saddam Husein and by Iran, and since I know the principles then I see the tactic of Kim Jong-un to be very impressive for a small nation to stand up against the big bully of the USA.

I reject the notion of being Patriotic when our Country is in the wrong.

You think by "turning the other cheek," Jesus was calling on people to stand up to bullies? You think testing ICBM qualify as non violent?

I do see it as a call to stand up against evil but not necessarily against Bullies.

Bullies are often just defensive or paranoid or driven by foolish emotions so some one as a Bully is not necessarily an evil.

The violence is evil, so Chairman Kim Jong-un of North Korea is not necessarily standing up against the American Bully but against the American threats of violence and the evils of American imperialism.

That is a fulfillment of the doctrine to = Turn the other cheek.

When weapons are used for self defense and as a deterrent to violent aggressors (as is the USA) then it does have an element of being non violence.

As like Ronald Reagan called the new American ICBMs as "Peace Makers" and later called them as "Peace-Keepers" so there is precedence in that view.
