How do you know you are saved?

I'm thinking its when we enter a state of resonance with God as if we were one spirit. Like a violin string resonating in the body of the instrument. Different from a violin, we know it, we are self conscious of the resonance.

How does one come to that state of resonance?

Through correct belief and faith alone or -

through conditions such as fasting , prayer and intentional good deeds , where the body is trained if you will by the spirit , obeys the spirit (which resides in the mind) rather than its ego needs and after a while comes to resonate with God .

Salvation is not just something we believe in and hope for but an actual experience we can have now.

Hello there,

I don't know if you are asking me or just posters in general, but in case you are asking me, I will say that "saved" I scripture can refer to a number of things.


- presently I am saved from living a life without Jehovah and without real hope

- for the future I hope to be saved when Jesus comes to kill off the wicked at Armageddon (but that is a future event so I'm not saved from that yet)

I would say if you are living a life with Jehovah you are saved already , don't worry about being saved when Jesus comes to kill off the bad guys.
But what do you mean when you say "saved"?
Does it mean more than just forgiven?

Yes it means to be in a relationship with Jehovah thanks to the redemptive power of his son's sacrifice. To be enjoying a spiritual paradise, that all in His organisation enjoy, to understand the bible and live with a solid hope for the future. To be living in spiritual light rather than in darkness.

I think it is something we become.

There is no 'praise the Lord' or 'halleluyah' in hell.
