What must one due to prepare for the " day of the LORD&

What must one do to prepare for the coming “awesome day of the LORD? (Joel 2:31-32)

The “awesome day of the LORD (Joel 2:31-32) will come accompanied with angels of death, as was with the original Passover. To prepare for the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when the angel of death passed over, one must throw out the leaven, which would be the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. As the observing sheep will have a weeks worth of unleavened bread for the Feast of Unleavened Bread, they will have nourishment for their “escape (Joel 2:32). As their leaders are the Shepherds of Ezekiel 34:3-4 and Zechariah 11:16, who do not feed the sheep, nor heal the sick, they will resist being thrown out. With respect to the Jews, they will have to throw out their Talmud built on the back of their Pharisees and lying scribes (Jeremiah 8:8), and with respect to the “Christians, they will have to throw out their Pharisee of Pharisees, the false prophet Paul. Will this happen, probably not for the “many (Mt 7:13), but they need to be warned regardless. The refining fires of Zechariah 13:7-9 may change at least 1/3 of the minds of the “little ones, since apparently, they survive.

New American Standard Bible Jeremiah 8:8
"How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the LORD is with us'? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes Has made it into a lie.

I have only given the initial steps one must take. Without those steps, one is wasting their time and money making others. Gold and silver, as well as a house swept away by flood, or burned by fire, or crushed by hail, will be of little use. (Rev 16:17-21) & (Mt 7:26). It makes little sense to shut one's door (Isaiah 26:20), if you tell everyone where that door is.

Acts 23:6
Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, "Brothers, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee. It is because of my hope in the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial."

good luck preparing, we will all probably be taken by surprise as it was in the days OF Noah.
Most of us probably won't even know , Christ will work the will of God and return to the Father with only a few knowing he has even come and gone.

How does this make Paul a "false" prophet? We know he was a Pharisee who learned from the great Jewish scholar Gamaliel (spl?), and that he persecuted Christians, even killing some, before he changed his attitude and became a Christian himself. So what?

Those who claim a relationship with the persecutors of God's messengers are held accountable for the blood of all the righteous. (Mt 23:23-35). Paul said that "we who are alive, would be changed from corruptible to incorruptible in a twinkling of an eye. Neither Paul, nor "we" were changed to incorruptible, and have all died. (1 Thess 4:17) "Everyone will die for their own iniquity" (Jer 31:30), and Paul's statement is a false prophecy, making him a false prophet. His message is the same as the "serpent", which was "you surely shall not die" (Genesis 3:4).

The Bible says that ALL eyes will "see" him, meaning that the whole world will understand that he has come. (Revelation 1:7)

Christ spoke for his Father when he said that he wishes everyone to get to know him, to learn about what is important to do in life---following his instructions---and always being on the watch so that one won't be caught off-guard when the end comes.

"Keep on the watch, therefore, because you do not know on what day your Lord is coming....Prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that you do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming." (Matt.24:42,44)

However, the beautiful thing is---he gave us events to watch for so that we would know the time was close. (Matt. 24:32,33) We have seen all the things happen that he told his disciples would be happening during the last days (Matt.24:1-14). The only things we haven't seen yet are (1)the announcing of "peace and security" (I Thess.5:3) and (2) the destruction of Babylon the Great---the world-wide empire of false religion (Rev.17:15-18). When we see those things we will know that the Great Tribulation is upon us.

The anointed co-rulers of Jesus' Kingdom are the ones who become incorruptible, and they do this when Jesus resurrects them from their long "sleep" in the grave. It is not something that anyone else witnesses. Most of us will not be of that group that goes to heaven, but will continue to live on the earth in paradise conditions. That is what Armageddon is for---a beginning for a refreshed, beautiful planet with a society of people that wish to be Jehovah's friends.

How did Paul say that "you surely will not die?" He spoke of what would happen AFTER death and resurrection. He spoke of dying many times.
