Will Jews collectively, (Israel), ever accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah? This is what Paul predicted, and what so many Evangelicals seem to hope for.
Is there any evidence that this will happen?
Why would any devout Jew accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah, or their "personal Lord and Savior"?
Will Israel ever accept Jesus Christ as it's Messiah?

Will Israel ever accept Jesus Christ as it's Messiah?
Post #1 My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

No I don't think they will and Paul never predicted that natural Israel would.
I believe that as a whole the fleshy nation of Israel (meaning the natural descendants of Abraham) has been rejected by God because they failed to accept their Messiah in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, so while individuals can come into a favoured relationship with God as part a NEW special multinational people selected to bear His name, as a nation the Jews are no longer God’s people and never will be again.

Post #4That notion that Israel, (collectively Jews) are "no longer His people" is "replacement theology", not Scriptural. Even some Evangelicals reject that notion, (John Hagee, if I'm not mistaken. and others believe in a "two Covenant" theory).JehovahsWitness wrote: [Replying to post 1 by Elijah John]

Just because Israel has rejected and is unlikely to ever accept Jesus Christ as it's Messiah (no reason to), does not mean that God has rejected them, or that they reject God.

What I have said is entirely scriptural, , if by "scrpitural" you mean the bible canon, my post even provided scripture in it.
And I should care because...?Elijah John wrote:Even some Evangelicals reject that notion, (John Hagee, if I'm not mistaken. and others believe in a "two Covenant" theory).

Your view is not scriptural.

Re: Will Israel ever accept Jesus Christ as it's Messiah?
Post #6It is anything but clear that Christ was the Messiah.. There is no convincing evidence of his descent from David, but an attempt at fabrication to make it look as if some peasant woman could be accurately linked not only to David but to Adam. Is it any wonder the Jews rejected this nonsense and would Yahweh blame anyone for acting rationally. Billions believe Christ was God - that's the extent of the confusion. Is it reasonable for Jews to be blamed if God messes things up?JehovahsWitness wrote:

Not the "Jesus" of religion, per se, but the actual Messiah (whom most people call "Jesus" but who might be more known as Yeshua to Jews)?Elijah John wrote: Will Jews collectively, (Israel), ever accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah? Yes.
Yes. Interestingly enough, the very verse that jw used to state that this will not happen, is the same verse that states this will happen. Is there any evidence that this will happen?
You will not see me again UNTIL YOU SAY, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord".
"Until" implies that the time is coming that this will happen.
When they say this, then they will see Him again.
Peace to you,
your servant and a slave of Christ,
tammy

Post #9But most of us, unlike Mary, don't have a box under the bed with documents detailing our forefathers back to the first lad. We know next to nothing about Jesus and absolutely nothing about his maternal or paternal grandparents. Adam's brothers and sisters may have something to do with our present status. The tale of a single male alone in a primeval orchard is a poem.brianbbs67 wrote:

There is no reason for Jews to accept Jesus as boy born of a virgin, descended from their giant slayer.

Post #10There is some beautiful music composed around the Benedictus Qui Venit ..... but one needs very special pleading to impose a very special meaning on these unexceptional words.tam wrote:

You will not see me again UNTIL YOU SAY, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord".
Psalm 118: joyfully states:
let us rejoice today and be glad. 25LORD, save us! LORD, grant us success! 26Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you. 27The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar. 28You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you.
As is usual bits from Scripture are refashioned to give the impression of prophecy. They are often placed on the lips of Christ. What this has to do witb Israel accepting Jesus is not clear.
