I agree completely and you make an important observation that I had not completely considered.

My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

"The historical method can only tell us what probably or most likely happened in the past. Since miracles are, by definition, improbable, if not in fact impossible, they are methodologically outside the bounds of historical inquiry.
History, then, as a disciple, cannot tell us if Jesus was divine or worked miracles any more than it can for Alexander the Great or Caesar Augustus[...]Any supernatural claim about Jesus can only be accepted as a matter of faith. Again, this is the domain of theology rather than history."

Once again, you nailed it. Once again, well stated and well reasoned.

I'm appalled and sickened at how you were seemingly silenced and your post left unaddressed by the moderator intervention.
You were spot on with Otseng! He could not defend his position IMO, and rather than that being made known, he was made out to be a victim.
Sickening!
Be well... love your posts.

You can give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day, or you can teach a man to pray for fish and he will starve to death.

If you are unable to demonstrate that what you believe is true and you absolve yourself of the burden of proof, then what is the purpose of your arguments? - brunumb

I will never understand how someone who claims to know the ultimate truth, of God, believes they deserve respect, when they cannot distinguish it from a fairy-tale.
You know, science and logic are hard: Religion and fairy tales might be more your speed.
To continue to argue for the Hebrew invention of God is actually an insult to the very concept of a God. - Divine Insight

We can honor the past by letting much of it go. Progression - Nature loves diversity - Organized religion may one day be truly irrelevant but GOD will always remain in one form or another. Goat herders are one of those steps which were taken as a matter of course. Take what is good from the past and leave the rest behind. GOD is with you whether you care to know that or not. Goat headers got that bit right, far as I can tell. Perhaps others took their simple stories and fogged with them?

You got two choices; either swallow blood, or swallow pride. I am a grown man, I will DIE before I swallow mine. Catch him at his school, and turn his college into COLUMBINE.
