"God is goodness"

.
In one of the threads someone made the claim:
God is goodness.
When asked for substantiation, the response was:
For me to explain all the points behind my reasoning for that belief would derail this thread in many different directions.
Therefore, this thread is created to ask for substantiation of the claim.
.
Non-Theist

ANY of the thousands of "gods" proposed, imagined, worshiped, loved, feared, and/or fought over by humans MAY exist -- awaiting verifiable evidence

Hi!! Well, we then have a black and white clear debate.
You likely point to things happening in the Old Testament?
But note that 'nothing good' unsupported is not debate and is more blog opinion style.

God is goodness remains. Could you limit your antithesis to ONE or two points?
Then I can reply, and begin to point out why God is goodness.
Thank you

I am not the one from the other thread, but I would have no problem saying God is goodness. I think humans naturally share the same moral principles. I think God created humans with that moral sense. If those things are true, then the reason we call certain things "good" is because of God's subjective desires. What we call "good" would be a reflection of God's subjective desires.

The god of the Bible has no morality if it exists, and the deeds attributed to it are correct.

If your interpretation is correct, then that speaks against the Bible God, but not God as the standard of human ideas of goodness. What standard are you using to judge the God of the Bible's actions by?

Human standards of course, which are much more moral than that of the Biblical god. Even the worst of humans is a saint compared to that deity.

You have to have some third standard above the human and Biblical standards, if you are going to judge between them, right? I'm asking what that standard is and why it should get to define what "more moral" is.

No you don't, as the Biblical god is a human creation with all the worst human characteristics.

The Buddhists say , if you meet Buddha on the road kill him.
The God we have met on our journey so far may not have been the true God.

But even to judge between two different human standards there needs to be some third thing that is neither one nor the other. Why is that human creation the "worst" of human characteristics.

Yes, IF (big if for many), if we believe there IS GOD, what's the point?

From my studies, everything is owned, nothing is 'free' so extrapolating, I think all of life, earth is owned.

We consider that and don't we see God is goodness?
True, that's not ALL, but that's another topic.
