Does any one disagree there must have been a first human being that didn't look like an ape? If there is , please explain why .

Given there is no evidence for 'creation' in respect to humans being created, I disagree since the statement is nonsensical.

I think humans define what is good and evil and make choices that fall into either category. So what?

I do. We still look like apes, so there has yet to be a human that doesn't look like one.
Please tell, what ape looks like you?

I can do better than that. I can show you a picture of one.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

You're right. In many ways, we seem to be the least intelligent of the apes.

Yes we do dangerous things because we like to not because we have to.

That's an oversimplification. Humans do dangerous things for many reasons.

Some of those reasons are quite foolish. Some are purely heroic.

Overall, humans desire to survive and to see others survive. If this weren't true, it's unlikely we would have thrived as a species.
