For debate:
1) Would any sane Jew have gone around claiming to be God?
2) Would any good Jew listen to anyone who made that claim about himself?
3) Did people listen to Jesus and take him seriously?
4) Was Jesus a good Jew, a sane Jew?
5) Did Jesus go around claiming to be God?
Please address any combination of the above.
And yes, for this particular topic, (and to stay on topic) please assume for the sake of argument that Jesus existed, and that God exists.
Would any sane Jew have gone around

Would any sane Jew have gone around
Post #1 My theological positions:
-God created us in His image, not the other way around.
-The Bible is redeemed by it's good parts.
-Pure monotheism, simple repentance.
-YHVH is LORD
-The real Jesus is not God, the real YHVH is not a monster.
-Eternal life is a gift from the Living God.
-Keep the Commandments, keep your salvation.
-I have accepted YHVH as my Heavenly Father, LORD and Savior.
I am inspired by Jesus to worship none but YHVH, and to serve only Him.

(A) Please carefully and thoroughly search to find a vision, dream, or clear description in scripture wherein God is visibly shown as more than one person.
The response would be that the Father acts in the Old Testament. There may be several aspects to him but his theology is not discussed, so no conclusion can be made. If people propose to add two more Gods, THAT can be challenged. But the Trinity does not make such a claim.
(B) Please show where in scripture God is ever described using the word "three."
The God of the Trinity is not three gods and the Father, who acts in the OT, is certainly not a triple.
(C) Please find clear, direct, undisputed statements that “Jesus is YHWH (the only God according to scripture).
Well once again you are challenging something Trinitarians do not uphold. Jesus is not the Father, who is startlingly revealed as Jehovah in the OT.
It would be something short of miraculous if somebody could write a few lines and thereby refute the Trinity doctrine. Person is not God, but an aspect of God according to that doctrine. Christ did not teach theology, and possibly such theology would have been lost on his disciples.
Is the Trinity false? Yes, almost certainly - but let's dismiss it properly, logically, painstakingly. If we make false assumptions about the dogma, and dismiss them, we give the impression the dogma is true.

And if there is three....hey...why stop there?
How about four or five? Maybe six or even more. Like a medussa
Perhaps Joseph Smith is one. Sure, why not. Mormon doctrine is as obsurd as mainstream
Christianity yet the 'real' Christians are offended by Mormonism. Bracause Mormon doctrine is nothing like the teachings in the gospels.
Yeah....Now Christians know how Jews feel.
