Assumptions in the Problem of Evil argument

Many believers and non-believers see the problem of evil as a powerful argument against the Christian God, but I am on the fence about it.
The problem of evil refers to the challenge of reconciling belief in an omnipotent, omnibenevolent, and omniscient God, with the existence of evil and suffering in the world.

One variant of the argument is expressed by Epicurus:
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
Here are my doubts about this argument:
1. I question if it is wrong for a Creator to not stop the wrong actions of "others".
- Does the Christian God ever say that he would stop all evil?
