John 4: 44
Luke 4: 16-30

Why is a prophet so often not received in his home town?
This is a question that bothers me. I am no blind believer, I have questions which I must explore when reading the Bible. This matter has bothered me, why would those Jesus was raised among, not accept He was the Messiah?

What happened with Eliab and David?
When David turned up near the war camp his older brother (Eliab) basically accused him of searching for excitement told him to get back to the sheep. The point is, David although a boy was Gods anointed and since the king and his second didnt get the job done, David had every right to step up .

Eliab couldnt see that, he just saw his kid brother and didnt give him the respect due.

You can read the full account at - 1 Samuel 17:27-30

Matthew Ch 13. Verses 53 - 58.

It is clear that the people acknowledged that Jesus had wisdom and power. Even though they chose to reject it.

It remains the same now. Jesus still performs miracles, transforming His believer's lives, yet often their closest family and friends still refuse to believe.
