So are you propagating hate for family members? That verse means that we should love our family members LESS than God Almighty and Jesus. It is not saying to hate our father, mother, wife, etc., with a malicious hate. Sometimes words have more than one shade of meaning.

"In fact, to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely" I Peter 2:21)

"Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will." (Matthew 7:21)

I was thinking....Jesus didn't hate his family, so how can you say that he taught us to hate? He made arrangements for his mother to have someone to take care of her after his death. That is not a man who hates his mother. And he loved his brothers so much that he didn't allow their initial rejection of his position to discourage him, and put up with their disbelief for a long time, out of love, and even some of them ended up accepting him.

Jesus said to the religious leaders: "You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with you whole mind. This is the greatest and first commandment. The second, like it, is this, 'You must LOVE your neighbor as yourself.'" (Matthew 22:37-39) Does that look like he wanted us to hate our neighbors (and everyone is our neighbor, as he showed with the parable of the good Samaritan)? Far from it. He taught that we must love everyone, even our enemies (Matthew 5:44).

I am not being mislead now. I listen to Jesus and his appointed teachers. I did attend trinity religionssss years ago. But then i studied Jesus and they do not have him.
