The Salvation of Jesus Christ

Post by WinkyDinky »

Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

1. In this commandment,
what is Jesus commanding, the children of God, to obey in their everyday life?
How do you understand these words of the Word of Life?

2. How do you disobey this commandment in your everyday life?

3. How do you obey this commandment, in your everyday life?

4. What happens to you when you disobey this commandment, in your everyday life?

5. What happens to you when you obey this commandment, in your everyday life?

6. What is the purpose or the objective of this commandment, in your everyday life,
given to the children of God to always obey, by Jesus the Christ?

That Scripture simply means that we shouldn't worry about the things that the nations are worrying about---food, clothing, etc.---and have confidence in God that He will provide for us what we need, as long as we are doing our best to follow His laws and principles and walk after His Son.

Jesus spoke mostly about God's Kingdom and what it will do for the earth and the people on it. Are we focused on that Kingdom, as Jesus was, and telling people about it, as he did? Do we actually have faith in that promise by God, that if we keep seeking first the Kingdom all will go well with us?

"He said to them: 'Also to other cities I must declare the good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth.'" (Luke 4:43)

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

In this commandment,
to them aspiring to obtain the salvation of God,
Jesus defines by the commandment,
to who and who has or has not been born of God.
For God to be your Father, you would have to be born of Him.

How is it that them, born of God, are perfect as
their Father, the living God, is perfect, in heaven?

Do you know? If so how is it?

To be perfect, people only need to be as perfect as they can be under their circumstances. We are not expected to be as perfect as Jehovah or Jesus or the angels. We can be as perfect a fallen human can be as we live with the sin we inherited from Adam.

By love... loving our neighbor AND our enemy. That is how we may be the children of our Father in heaven.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Similarly stated in Luke 6:

“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Peace again to you.

You will find, that if you just take one commandment
of Jesus Christ and start to obey it, you will witness a change
that will take place in your everyday doings that will lead
to nothing but good things for you, both spiritually and physically.
And the more you obey them, and more of them, the more you
will fall in love with Jesus. Don't believe me...

Try it and see what will happen for you.

The more you deny them and disobey them, the more
the misery of sin will bother you nonstop. And it will keep
getting worse and worse, accumulating upon your life till you die.

It is not a personal comment about him.
It is however a comment about his opinion he stated to me.
By him stating the comment as his argument, I have the right to state my rebuttal comment
about his comment as his argument.

To which is carnal and not spiritual. To which makes his statement meritless in this debate.

John 15:10
If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love;
even as I have kept my Father's commandments,
and abide in his love.

There is only one way
that anyone can receive the love of Jesus.
That is you have to obey His commandments.
That is the only way you can abide in Him.

True or false?

If you are not abiding in the love of God
then the wrath of God is upon you.

True or false?

I confess, I have not read the rules.
