What do you think? Did Scott win the day? Kinda like Rocky, he didn't need to win, just make a good show of it. Personally, I think he won, but i'd like to know your impression.
“And do you think that unto such as you
A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew
God gave a secret, and denied it me?
Well, well—what matters it? Believe that, too!”

Simple question cannot be answered because it ends the debate.
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

Science comes from the Christian worldview. In short, Enlightenment is post Christian and mostly Christian and the belief we can have the good stuff without God. French revolution, communism, facism, ww1 ww2 want a word with you.

But do you live as if something can come from nothing?
I live as though the earth was flat and everything had an up and down. That is how it looks from our restricted humans view. Science (even starting from a Christian viewpoint...as well as Arab before that and Greek, Indian and Egyptian/Babylonian pagan before that) showed us that things were not as we were accustomed to. The Christian view has been left behind and either has to play catch -up and try to fit in or go all denial about it. Up to you how you play it, but I reckon the tide of time is against you.

You mean 'We don't know'(not "God"). If you want to end it there, we'll agree. It a pointless debate, anyway.

What question is it, that has the power to end debate?

What if your God isn't the first cause? Your God may have been caused despite any unwarranted attributes you may have given it.
Are you conceding this step and moving on in the argument or not?
Are you just avoiding my question? Don't engage in a debate if you don't want to be challenged.

I don't know if something can come from nothing, so can't really live my life either way, except by coincidence.

For such folks who propose something must've come from a god, I ask from what came the something that constitutes a god.

Thus far my data suggests the most plausible answer is ignorance.

So you live as if things you see and touch just popped into existence.

Good grief.

Of course not. Neither do I live as though cats are suddenly going to turn into dogs or the sun suddenly will go Nova. Nor do you live (I would guess) as though God will provide, even if you don't make an effort to earn any money, that you needn't watch out for traffic because prayer will keep you safe or a guardian angel will fix your computer so you needn't take it to the shop. That doesn't mean you don't think those things can be so in some other circumstances or times, especially if there is evidence for it.

This is for any browsers of course O:) since I would guess your intent is to trap me into a yes or no answer so you can misrepresent it.
