There is no question this was a horrific attack by Hamas on Israel that also endangers Palestinians.
To what extent are attacks like this inevitable, considering the history of Israel?

Isn't this just another example of how religious conflict breeds violence?
or
Is it inevitable that strongly held beliefs will always ignite the passions of some?

Perhaps the difference with religions that claim authority from God is that they inspire absolute beliefs, an absolute conviction they are 'right' and therefore anything is justifiable... including following God's orders to kill your own son.

The existence of some children who have been brainwashed does not justify comments like "TELL ME HOW GOOD THE PLAESTINE PEOPLE ARE".
There were in Hitler's time children who were brainwashed to behave with a Nazi mentality. It does not follow all Germans were Nazis and/or capable of really despicable acts like torture, rape and murder like some Nazis.

How does Israel tell a Hamas person and a Hamas supporter? Do they all wear a uniform? Do they have an arm band? Maybe a green face?

The terrorist supports are saying that Hamas does not represent the Palestine people. But they were elected by Palestine people. They hid Hamas weapons. Is everyone saying the Hamas hid all the tunnels and weapons and not one non-Hamas person knew about it?

Again, how does one identify a Hamas person, so the civilians are not killed?

Can someone tell in what war civilians were not killed? Remember Hamas declared war.

Germans elected Hitler because he took advantage of their desperation and promised to restore their prosperity, then he dragged them into a war. Nazi propaganda flooded the presses and airwaves. And if it hadn't been for the egregious Treaty of Versailles, Germans wouldn't have been nearly as suceptible to the Nazi narrative. Maybe Israel would have had a better reputation among Palestinians if it hadn't moved in and started forcibly displacing them.

Since they knew of an impending attack, they could have strengthened their defenses. They could have announced to the world, "Hey! We've learned of a Hamas plan to attack us, so we'd like help strengthening our defenses." They could have said to Hamas, "We know of your plan to attack us, so we're strengthening our defenses. Don't try anything!"

Tell me where and how many solders Iseral should have stationed where to stop the attack. And not have one Iseral killed or harmed.

How many ground forces have they sent into Gaza in this action? All of them could have been deployed for defense. As for not one person being harmed, that's hardly a realistic expectation for any military action. Even so, Israeli civilians would probably have been a lot safer if their government had concentrated on defense.

.....and not been occupying Gaza in the first place.
