Jesus is God - Colossians 1:15-16

Post by Wootah »

The Son is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by him all things in heaven and on earth were created,
things visible and invisible,
whether they are kings, lords, rulers, or powers.
All things have been created through him and for him.
17 He himself existed before anything else did,
and he holds all things together.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=ISV
If all things have been created through Jesus then Jesus cannot have been created.

If Jesus is not created he must be God.

Is this proof Jesus is God?

Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

On his first point Jesus is teaching others how to pray by saying our father. That could be a simple explainer.

Yes, Jesus did teach people how to pray by saying "Our Father." And where was the Father? In heaven. So they weren't the same persons or equal. He guided our attention to the Father, and indicated that we should pray to Him, the Father, and no one else.

So that deals with the first point right Diogenes? Jesus was directing other people how to pray.

No one says they are the same person. Why not write a note down so that you can participate in the debates? Christians don't think the Father and the Son are the same person.

I guess you missed the comments by misskate13. She believes Jehovah and Jesus are the same person.

The name of God is YHWH.

The Father is not the Son is not the Spirit.

It all comes from wrestling with the text.
Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

The name of God is YHWH.
More precisely, the name of The Father is JEHOVAH (YHWH).
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.

Emphasis MINE

Yes, so ...Since The Father (YHWH ) is not the Son ; the Son (Jesus ) is not JEHOVAH (YHWH).
