Mark 6:3
" Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. "
One of the most commonly used tools of deception is omission. I can not accuse the Mark Gospel of leaving out these details of Jesus's immediate earthly family.
Questions
1.Is this family grouping well known?
2. Has this stuff been air-brushed from doctrine and if so why?
3.Is this a general habit for Chistian doctrine formulators?
4.Are there other examples of more obvious selective amnesia?

Re: Why no family pictures of Jesus?
Post #11in spite of myself I'm curious about the answer. I'd assume that the Immaculate conception is to do with Mary herself having to be sinless, but knowing the Catholic thought or, thankfully, not knowing it, it could be something quite different.
Wiki
The Immaculate Conception is the belief that the Virgin Mary was free of original sin from the moment of her conception.[1] It is one of the four Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church.[2] Debated by medieval theologians, it was not defined as a dogma until 1854,[3] by Pope Pius IX in the papal bull Ineffabilis
That seemed a pretty good guess. Should be worth a Papal indulgence or two.
