What must I do to be saved?

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30)
Repent (Luke 13:3,5)
Confess Jesus is Lord before men (Matthew 10:32)
Be immersed for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
Be faithful until death (Revelation 2:10)
”For unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24

His death is symbolized at Revelation 20:10, where he is put into a state where he couldn't do anything anymore---death.
That is not a definition of death:

Death: the act of dying; the end of life; the total and permanent cessation of all the vital functions of an animal or plant.
And he won't be able to do anything anymore, right?
NO! Very wrong! He will be able to suffer torment eternally!!

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

The dead cannot feel torment as they know nothing:

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing... (Ecclesiastes 9:5)

The dead don't even know that they are dead.

Since the devil feels the torment forever, he IS alive forever.
No, the Greek word for "torment" means the definition of being in a situation where one can't be free to do as he wishes. Annihilation is the reason that Satan is "tormented." When he's dead he can't be free to do as he wishes. He is truly dead, not alive as some people say. The "lake of fire" is symbolic for total obliteration. It has to be symbolic because the other things that will go into the lake of fire are "death and hell." (KJV) Can "death" be thrown into anything? Can "hell" be thrown into hell? It's all symbolic.
The "devil" is thrown into the "lake of fire", where already exists the "beast" and the "false prophet" (Rev 20:10). These all have everlasting life, therefore committed the unforgivable sin. The "devil" is spirit, and does not have his own body, therefore he cannot die. His torment, perceived state, will be forever. Then the "dead" arise and are judged, and those not in the book of life are thrown into the fire, along with "death" and "Hades". Those in the "book of life" evidently have a different result. Apparently, the "beast" and the "false prophet" had been anointed, such as ate from the spiritual tree of life, and therefore cannot die, and unlike your average Pete and Joe, they cannot die (Genesis 3:4). The "Beast" and the "false prophet" have "demon spirits", which live though the body of the host die (Rev 16:13). Pete and Joe are no longer cognizant but have been burned up. "Hell" is Sheol, the grave. Death can be eliminated under a different paradigm. Without death, you need no grave/Shoel.
How can you throw death? How can you throw Hades?
Revelation 20:14 New International Version 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.

Hades means "abode of the dead". With all of those not found in the "book of life", done away, then there will no longer be any death, and no longer any need for the "abode of the dead"/grave.

That is correct. The lake of fire is symbolic of the extinction of death and the grave. You can't literally throw death or the grave.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hades
Hades (/ˈheɪdiːz/; Greek: ᾍδης, translit. Hā́idēs, Attic Greek: [háːi̯dεːs], later [háːdεːs]), in the ancient Greek religion and mythology, is the god of the dead and the king of the underworld, with which his name became synonymous.[1]

Per Revelation 20:10, the "devil"/"dragon", king of the underworld (Hades), is cast into the "lake of fire".

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30)
Repent (Luke 13:3,5)
Confess Jesus is Lord before men (Matthew 10:32)
Be immersed for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38)
Be faithful until death (Revelation 2:10)

I was invited to a Church by a work acquaintance and the Pastor gave a simple, fundamental approach to the question "What must I do to be saved".

He called it an "ABC" method to salvation...

A: Admit that you are a sinner, and you need a savior to put you back in God's grace.

B: Believe that Jesus is the answer (and savior), and by belief in him you are under God's umbrella of grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

C: Commit your life to doing things God's way (repent), instead of that of your own.

Not to far from what you've shared as well. :D
You got two choices, man; swallow blood, or swallow pride.

Indeed. But the last thing MissKate mentioned--"be faithful until death"---is just as important as the other things listed, something most people don't consider. There is the belief that "once saved, always saved," but clearly we have to REMAIN faithful, and stay on that narrow road to life. As you've said, one must "commit your life to doing things God's way instead that of your own." If one doesn't, then he is actually on the wide road that leads to destruction. (Matthew 7:13,14)

One can be "deceived" (Revelation 13:14) and travel the wide path to "destruction" while thinking they are on the narrow path (Mt 7:13-15). As stated in Matthew 13:24-30, those that are deceived, and accept the "message" of the "enemy" appear as tares, which is a weed that looks like wheat, but produces no good fruit. The "many" of Matthew 7:13, don't recognize the difference between the "message" of the "son of man" and the "message" (lawlessness) of the "enemy"/"devil". Now that we at the "end of the age", the difference will be revealed, and the "tares", those who commit lawlessness), will be "gathered" and cast into the "fire" (Mt 13:30 & 41).
