Recently, there was a cancel exhibit of
a statue of Jesus on the cross that was
controversial because not only was the
statue made out of nude (and anatomically
correct), but the statue was made from
chocolate. There were a number of reactions
that were shown. One person was upset that
the Jesus was darker skinned, and CHOCOLATE
too. (I think the photo he looked at must
have been bad, I don't see the picture as
showing Jesus as all that dark skinned).
A picture of it can be found here (it is the full picture,
just so you don't click on it if you might be offended)

Many of the people who were upset with the
"Sweet Jesus" sculpture were happy with
what I considered a blood fest of Mel Gibson's
'The Passion'.
Why is this sculpture (the nudity of which
is historically accurate) so offensive, while
the excessive violence and blood of Mel Gibsons
movie is not? Also, why did not people complain about
Jesus being nude in "The Passion"?

i could care less about something like a chocolate statue......you aware of what went on when they crucified someone? It wasnt pretty. Mel's movie just pointed that fact out....

Are you aware the Mel's movie greatly exaggerated things (Not that it was pretty in real life, but the torture that was depicted before the cruxifiction would have killed someone even before they got nailed to the cross).goat wrote:Recently, there was a cancel exhibit of

I guess a lot of people might get fat from communion.
I remember watching the "passion" and Pilot's wife was giving linen to Mary and calling her the mother of God. I was think. I am sure that never happened.
