New guy...

Hey all, nooblet alert.

Not entirely sure what information is relevant here. I live in the UK (Scotland), i'm male, i'm 22 and i'm a student.

I don't have many significant 'stand points' on that many issues to be honest, I'm not overly decisive! But in religious terms, i'm an agnostic. Come from a 'technically' Christian family, but very much in the 'default' sense, so I didn't have any significant exposure to Christianity outside of school.

I think my pet peeve here will probably be 'philosophical/religious waffle'. If there's a serious discussion going on, I consider ambiguous double-talk to be out of place.

Anyway, other than that, I'm quite into funk/soul music as well as 'American TV', if that isn't too much of a generalisation. But especially 'legal'/'courtroom' dramas like The Practice, Shark plus CSI, Law & Order etc.

Welcome second coming! Glad to have you with us.

Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.

Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.

There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.
