For those that trust the Bible it will. Just because you don't believe the interpretation of the Daniel the 2nd chapter doesn't mean it's not about the USA.
All you have to do is present evidence that it does. This is after all a debate sub-forum. What evidence can you present?

It's simple. Follow the dominant world powers from Babylon's time who have had and now have rulership over God's people.
1. Babylon (the head) - Dan 2:38
2. Medo-Persia (Arms and chest) - Dan 5:28
3. Greece (Stomach and thighs) - Dan 5:28
4. Rome (legs) - Dan 2:39
5. United States and Great Britain (feet) - Dan 2:41-43
Nice try, but there is no mention of the U.S. in the passage you have referred to. What else have you?

I'd be happy to hear who you think the feet are. Just saying 'nice try' isn't proving me wrong.
There is no meniton of Greece or Rome either but they fit. History is my proof.

If you are claiming that the feet are the U.S. it is your responsibility to provide evidence to support your claim. What have you?

To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.

I must assume that knowing is better than not knowing, venturing than not venturing; and that magic and illusion, however rich, however alluring, ultimately weaken the human spirit.

Well I was under the assumption that you knew the history of those empires. That you knew who defeated the Babylonians, who defeated the Meads and Persians, etc etc. I'm I correct in assuming you do not know these things? Do I need to go into detail? I don't want to explain something that you already know but don't mind going into a bit more detail if you don't.

The question under consideration is your claim related to the Bible and the U.S. How do these questions support your claim about the U.S. and the Bible?

Because we have to follow the empires that followed Babylon. The book of Daniel speaks of 4 kingdoms that would come after Babylon. All we have to do is follow the kingdoms that ruled over Israel after Babylon. The Bible gets up to Greece in Daniel chapter 8. But doesn't name the last two kingdoms. We have to look at history to fill in the names for the legs and the feet. History tells us Rome and then the US/UK kingdoms that came after the Roman empire fit best. Rome came after Greece and then UK/US after Rome. Daniel 2:44 specifcally speaks that it would be during the reign of the "feet" that God's kingdom would be set up and eventually smash the feet.

Given that the Bible doesn't mention the U.S., this is nothing but another failure to support your claim that it does.

If you don't want to follow the empires that's your choice, but it doesn't make it wrong to find out who the feet are. It just means it doesn't convince you and I'm cool with that. I'm not here to convince but inform, take it or leave it. You've chosen to leave it, so be it. You have also not made any effort to give a counter interpretation so I have no reason to believe mine is wrong.

I didn't ask you to make unsupported claims about "the empires." I asked you to support your claims about the Bible and the U.S. And yes, I choose to to leave your unsupported claims as unsupported claims.
