They ate of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil before having knowledge of Good or Evil. How is it wrong for them to do something they'd have know idea was Evil?

Because, after they knew about the knowledge of good and evil, they blamed others for their own actions. Adam blamed eve, and eve blamed the snake.

No. God was clearly going to punish them before they blamed each other - "On that day you shall surely die." So wither comes the justification for a premeditated punishment such as this?

And I should think it hardly matters in a moral absolutist scheme of things whether one accepts the responsibility for one's own actions or whether one shifts it onto others: this is like saying that merely because I acknowledge that I am a murderer I am free of punishment.

It could be considered wrong because God quite clearly told them not to.

And once more - how were they to know that disobeying God was evil? They'd yet to know how to distinguish between good and evil!

Tsk tsk...

God provided atonement for Adam and Eve:

And, the lamb (Christ) was ordained as a sacrifice before the foundation of the world (Genesis 13:8).

They were, (excuse the expression) covered!

In other words, more bullshit symbo-logic presented as morality (we have to shed blod to rid ourselves of these sins! - Why? - Who knows!). Present some actual reasoning or keep the Hell out of my thread.

There is no need to use offensive language. You don't own the thread and you don't make the rules.

The way I read the Bible God did not punish Adam and Eve. The punishment would have been to keep us all ignorant of knowledge of good and evil.
We would be no better than cows without it.
If God had not wanted us to have this knowledge then He would have ended an experiment that had gone sideways.
His experiment is on track and this is why He allows it to continue in it's Perfection.
It is said that all of God's works are Perfect.

Look around. His Perfect systems are here and now.

Thank God.
