Post #1It is a first class human tragedy that people of the earth who claim to believe in the message of Jesus, whom they describe as the Prince of Peace, show little of that belief in actual practice.

Re: Does the Koran condemn this?
Post #2To me this question is irrelevant. More important to me would be the reaction of the leaders of the religion of the people who have committed this. Do they uncategorically, unanimously and unequivocally condemn such actions with words and deeds? If not, why not?achilles12604 wrote:http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080202/ts_nm/iraq_dc

Post #3Well let's add your question in. But I was really wondering if this was acceptable given the concept of jihad. What are the rules?McCulloch wrote:To me this question is irrelevant. Well…
Post #4…the typical thing has happened on muslim forums I visit: people not making any condemnatory comments simply because they can’t ‘confirm’ that muslims masterminded the whole enterprise. I recall after the July 7th bombings and LONG after September 11th muslims would still deny that their fellow believers had a hand in those atrocities
.

Re: Well…
Post #5I found one of those posts interesting. They flat out accused CNN of brainwashing. I find this very interesting indeed and I will be starting a thread on it. I of course have a tendency to disagree because I have been in the newspapers, and have been at incidents recorded by CNN. And for the most part, they do a decent job of relaying what HAPPENED in documentary style. Since I have witnessed some events and read the coverage later, I have some faith that in general CNN does this on a regular basis. Reporting facts instead of inventing them.Pazuzu bin Hanbi wrote:…the typical thing has happened on muslim forums I visit: people not making any condemnatory comments simply because they can’t ‘confirm’ that muslims masterminded the whole enterprise. On the other hand, I remember a speech by Saddam where he told his Iraqi people that the American tanks had been destroyed and repelled. Hmm . . . I wonder which country's media is controlled as propaganda.

Islam does not condemn this act in any way shape or form. Just as in every religion you have some people who are radicals who go to extremes in their religion. This is not an act of jihad. Allah tells us not to go to extremes in our religion some people have not followed this. And are misguided by those who do.achilles12604 wrote:I am not hearing a reply from any of the posters here. And in every civilized religion, there are measures in place to curb the excesses of the extremists. Many forms of Islam seem to be missing that.muhammad rasullah wrote:Just as in every religion you have some people who are radicals who go to extremes in their religion.
