Does this document prove that the Quran contains knowledge of the world that primitive man couldn't possibly have known? Does it prove that Allah is the one true God? Please justify your response.Risky wrote:

*~In reality what is in it could not have been known 1,400 years ago. So it proves God exists... and if you don't think so, well it lessens the chances that he doesn't... If you think one is vague go on to the next one, I assure you most of the verses are direct statements that meet up with what is now known.

Muslim claims of scientific accuracy in the Quran
Post #1In another thread:
Society and its morals evolve and will continue to evolve. The bible however remains the same and just requires more and more apologetics and claims of "metaphors" and "symbolism" to justify it.
Prayer is like rubbing an old bottle and hoping that a genie will pop out and grant you three wishes.
There is much about this world that is mind boggling and impressive, but I see no need whatsoever to put it down to magical super powered beings.

You mean this.T-mash wrote:What?TrueReligion wrote:Ahead in cosmology? they can tell your future through stars and etc etc precisely, dats what they were famous, what you mean otherwise, can you bring with evidence also pleaseT-mash wrote:Err... actually the Arabs were ahead in cosmology at the time. Whatever the Greeks knew 700 years before them, the Arabs knew a ton more. The Arabs are known for their Astronomical discoveries and therefore nothing you said supports your case.TrueReligion wrote:May be, but all these influence was not known to arabs, what you have to show, is that any of these knowledge was known to arabs at that time. As its proven that arabs dont know about these issues.
That is not cosmology, cosmology is the study of the universe. The Arabs were famous for their research with relation to the earth and other planets and their mathematical capabilities.

We often see goats, sheep and cows eat grass, and yet it rarely occurs to any of us to establish a link between this process and the milk and the dairy products we consume. God lets them feed on this grass, its ultimate transformation to be milk, one of the basic nutriments. William Harvey discovered the circulation of blood almost a millennium after the Prophets decease. At the time of the Prophet, the fact that the blood carried the nutriments absorbed from digested food into its constituents to mammary glands for production of milk was not known. The new material transformed from pasture into assimilated food and blood becomes a nutritious food.
The Quran not only draws attention to truths unknown at the time, but also displays facts to derive lessons from. The blood collects and transports the substances formed by digested food to organs; among others, to mammary glands. This process is initiated by blood coming into contact with the contents of intestines, on their walls. Before continuing its journey, carried by blood, part of the digested food is absorbed by the intestines. This information is the result of modern research in biology, chemistry and in the physiology of digestion.

Honestly, how does it help the debate to deliberately misinterpret a persons statement?
I'm sure you realize T-mash meant that humans in general have been drinking milk for 100,000 years.

You claim the koran is not a book of scienc then go on and claim it is a book of science and either ignore or misunderstand what the OP says.Yeah, better you read again all the threads and OP 1st, so you could know what the topic is about, thanks for accepting the wonderful miracles given by Quran, which is accepted by scienctists and science as well.Oh, I'm sorry I thought this thread was about scientific accuracy within the koran but now you say it just says a few things that might be interpreted as pertaining to science. Thank you for being agreeable for a change and abandoning this whole line of reasoning. So please dont think Quran as complete science book, Quran have more than 6000 verses, out of which some give signs related to science.
Yes and I know how far you will go to make it seem you are correct. BTW smoke does not exist in space. Also, its because of the miracle of Quran, that you now know the meanings of smoke and heaven![]()

And since you struggled to figure out the relevance: We've been getting milk from animals about 100,000 years before the Quran. How on earth is the Quran mentioning it a miracle?

THE LIGHT OF THE MOON IS REFLECTED LIGHT
It was believed by earlier civilizations that the moon emanates its own light.
Science now tells us that the light of the moon is reflected light. However this
fact was mentioned in the Quraan 1,400 years ago in the following verse:.
Blessed is He Who made Constellations in the skies, And placed therein
a Lamp And a Moon giving light. [Al-Quraan 25:61]
The Arabic word for the sun in the Quraan, is shams. It is referred to as
siraaj, which means a torch or as wahhaaj which means a blazing lamp or
as diya which means shining glory. All three descriptions are appropriate to
the sun, since it generates intense heat and light by its internal combustion.
The Arabic word for the moon is qamar and it is described in the Quraan as
muneer, which is a body that gives nur i.e. light. Again, the Quraanic
description matches perfectly with the true nature of the moon, which does
not give off light itself and is an inert body that reflects the light of the sun.
Not once in the Quraan, is the moon mentioned as siraaj, wahhaaj or diya or
the sun as nur or muneer. This implies that the Quraan recognizes the
difference between the nature of sunlight and moonlight.
Consider the following verses related to the nature of light from the sun and
the moon:
It is He who made the sun To be a shining glory And the
moon to be a light (Of beauty). [Al-Quraan 10:5]
See ye not How Allah has created The seven heavens One above
another, And made the moon A light in their midst, and made the sun
As a (Glorious) Lamp? [Al-Quraan 71:15-16]

So the description 'a body that gives light' matches the moon because the moon is not a body that gives light? Rofl
Fail..
